Ok 1st time ever posting  :) glad it's for such a great joom addon. This is the first project I'm willing to donate to as well, lol.

ok so I can always figure out my probs on most joom issues but this one has me stumped.  ???

Everything works but the gallery on my site.

{jgxgal folder:=[mb/me] cols:=[4]}  - mb is my joomla directory -> me - is my image folder

i get this : Warning: opendir(mb/me): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home2/*****/public_html/mb/_jgfw_/jgfw.php on line 346

i put in the * for secrecy, i'm a ninja.

someone please explain to me exactly what you need to do in order to get the gallery working. do i need to add anything to my template or is it something else.

i see a few people had probs with the gall part but no one really explains how they got around it. is it chmods?

please help and let me give a big thank you to ARCY for a great bot.  :-*

Congratulations on your first post, we could use some ninja power here.
You don't need to specify your joomla dir. just 'me' should do, like this:
{jgxgal folder:=[me] cols:=[4]}

I'm only using the gallery, and I did some patches as described earlier in this thread, but it's all working.

Arcy - looks great.  works great.  I have not been able to try all of the options.  However, I liked what I have tried.  I have two questions/comments.

1. Is there a way to limit the size of the exploded candy-thumb image?  The thumbnail is fine, however, I am accessing images from a photo album and some of the resolutions exceed the screen dimensions when expanded.  This function loses some of its sex appeal when it gets that large.

2. Is there a way to add the Image Titles to the Menu Titles as well?  That would provide a nice continuity to the whole page.

Thanks again.

I think you got mixed up somewhere. There is no relation whatsoever between jogadgets and security images.
Try here:

See this post:http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,34973.0.html
Here is his Quote:
Quote:
I made my own comment-bot with my own captcha solution but still using the akocomment tables and administration.

example: http://www.faulancer.de/index.php?optio ... #fcomments

If you're intrested, just give a call.

Could someone please let me know where to get this...

Wah, my gadget broke!  :'(

I'm only using imagetitle, and all was fine until I updated the software on my VPS account. Here's my server info:

Linux my.server.com 2.4.20-021stab028.24.777-enterprise #1 SMP Fri Jan 6 19:39:27 MSK 2006 i686
Database Version: 4.0.27-standard
PHP Version: 4.4.2
Web Server: Apache/1.3.36 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.2 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635.SR1.2 mod_ssl/2.8.27 OpenSSL/0.9.7a
WebServer to PHP interface: apache
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.0.9 Stable [ Sunshine ] 05 June 2006 16:00 UTC
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4
Relevant PHP Settings:
Safe Mode: OFF
Open basedir: none
Display Errors: ON
Short Open Tags: ON
File Uploads: ON
Magic Quotes: ON
Register Globals: OFF
Output Buffering: OFF
Session save path: /tmp
Session auto start: 0
XML enabled: Yes
Zlib enabled: Yes
Disabled Functions: none

Any ideas what would cause this? Are there any libraries or components required that I could be missing when it recompiled?

Thanks,
Patrick

I have problem in viewing all of jogadgets feature on my JOOMLA 1.0.9 (paid hosting). However  it  works well either on my localhost or my free webhosting. When I view the page which is candy thumb-function on my IE there's only box with a broken link. If  I click the box, it shows the full size picture just well. On the other hand when I view using Firefox, the page displays nothing  :o
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Yoneth

Arcy, this is what's happening with mine, too. See http://www.hawk-multimedia.com. It only shows the broken image when the {jgitext text:=[]...} code is inserted. Content titles just remain blank. The code being generated is:

As you can see, it doesn't complete the image file name. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Patrick

the only thing i can imagine is that your server doesn't support dynamic image generation (gd lib. etc.). please contact your admin and check this.

greets arcy
