"mod_contentlist" New extension for Dynamic Content Listing

Hello all,

Here's a module for Joomla! 1.5 that lists site contents dynamically from current category or section, it can also show contents from specified sections and/or categories, different ordering options are available.

There's two module views, 'default' and 'menu', the menu view comes with its css and an accordion mootools effect.

With this module you won't need to spend more time building and updating your menus, it'll generate them automatically from existing site contents.

Module still in its early stages, There's a number of planned additional features:

"sort"/"don't sort" articles by categories option
"sort"/"don't sort" categories by sections option
Option to specify Parent/Child category pairs, to allow for multi-hierarchical listing
Option for expandable article intro text (with number of words limiting option)
Option to limit section/category/article title words.
Option to set fixed module height with scroll bar or auto-scroll (marquee)
Option to display uncategorised articles (now only categorized articles are displayed)
Option to specify sections and/or categories and/or articles that should be excluded from display

Unfortunately I don't have too much free time in the coming days, so if someone could help developing it and make it better I'll appreciate it.

On first impression, it simply rocks! But is there a way to expand the directory tree when a user loads a page? for example all the categories under the section is expanded

And another thing, the article title became to small. Issit possible for all the text to be of the same size?

Hi ah72,
This was just what I was looking for (and didn't find in extensions.joomla.org).

I missed being able to show which section/category/article is active for our current project though. So, I edited helper.php & tmpl/default.php (see attached file). Hope it helps.

Edit: I forgot to remove a test variable (.(int) JRequest::getVar( 'id', 0 ) on line 229 in helper.php). Sorry, was in a rush....
