Hi Stéphane, great extension!

My question is, how can I translate the extension AcePolls?
I'm not confused about how to use Content Elements tab,
what do I need to upload (.xml obviously), but is it possible with this extension?

thanks.

Take a look at this picture http://db.tt/GQMuQDv9

I have the same problem with Falang 1.5.5 and Joomla 2.5.6. The options in List Layouts under Menus are not show.

Stephane, please release a new version with these fixes.

I think this is very urgent with many people out there.

Hello

I have a problem with the dropdown menus. You can not see.
But if I disable the plug-in Falang database driver works again.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi,

I'm using the extension FaLang, to translate my pages.
But I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use FaLang to translate stuff from other extensions as well? Here's a simple example:

I am also using the extension Ace Polls, which basically creates a poll to survey the users. The poll is now written in English, but if I translate to French, I obviously need the poll to be translated in French.

Does anyone know what I have to do to accomplish this?

Thank you!

Sorry, an other problem es newly formed since I changed the joomla 2.5.4!

I have joomla 2.5.6 and FaLang 1.1.5 and I have some problems with contents (menus). In the original language you dont see the head (author, date etc..), but
in the translate language you see this head, I can nothing do to change this fault.

Do you have any solutions?

The first solution is to look carefully at this forum sticky topics:
viewtopic.php?f=617&t=715633

Moving this post to the correct Topic for falang.

Hi,
I'm currently using this great component for a 2.5 site we just upgraded from 1.5, there a few issues and questions which if anyone can help with be great.
I'm trying to find out why, even with other languages working, I can't get the Chinese to display in the module, I've double checked and using zh as the image and can't get it to display.

Also is there any auto translations I can use for Falang in order to get it more like jomfish? I understand the developer hasn't done anything like this yet but when using a few different languages it's a slow process to doing each one.

Thanks in advance

I have tried falang in various configs (more later) and have never been able to detect a module mod_falang, even tho the file is there in the arborescence.

Is this normal?

Falang 1.1.6 works fine with Joomla 2.5.6. It even shows both flags (for a 2-language system) now.

Thanks, Stéphane

Hi:

I installed the Falang component following all the instructions.
My article in the main page translates with no problem to the swedish language, but when I click the english flag, I get the 404 site. When I enter the address directly in the browser, I get the old article.

My site: www.fotogravyr.com

Please help Stephanie!

Hi, I am testing Falang 1.1.6 with Joomla 2.5.6 for possible adoption. I found a problem which I think it's important to understand if it is addressable in the short term.
Let's assume I have a website with two languages (english and french) where english is the default one.
I create two articles: one in English and one in French.
Now, I go to Falang and I'd like to create the translated versions of both. First of all, to create the translation into the default language (French to English), I need to setup Falang to show also default language (and that's easy :) ).
Now the problem: in the Falang backend whichever language I filter (English or French), I always see both articles without translation, i.e. with translations to be done, while the English article is not missing the English translation so the French one is not missing the French translation...
It's like Falang doesn't look at articles language to determine if the translation must be done or not. If so, I think it shouldn't be a difficult addition to do that?
Any comments?
thanks

Giuse

I want to place this module on position 0 in the beez5 template, but it keeps showing on top of the topmenu, which is in fact on position1.

Although I can put a horizontal menu and the search-option or gtranslate module on position 0, it is not possible for the falang switcher.

Has someone an idea on what code I should edit on the css on the falang template.css

Hi,

I just installed Falang and was able to translate comntent items without problems. Now I wanted to translate menu items but Falang just won't let me save. All of the save buttons just don't seem to work. I'm running Joomla 2.5.6 and Falang 1.1.6 and have already tried to reinstall it but the menu items still can't be saved. I also tried setting the Falang system plugin to -1 as stated in the FAQ. Any body an idea please?

Sorry, my fault...Falang isn't the reason it doesn't work. I have a plugin adding some additional params for menu items. If I disable that plugin Falang saves the menu items. Unfortunately I need those additional params for my menu items sublines. The additional params show up in the menu translation under "Params" and I can edit them but saving won't work. Any chance I can change the menu.xml to make it work? The additional params are saved in "params" in the xxx_menu table of the database. Since translating params = 1 shouldn't it be working?

Hi,
I'm using Falang plugin (V1.1.6 ) to have my Joomla 2.5.6 multilanguage with Financial Business (Gavick).
Everything works fine except the translation of Image Show GK4.

When I am tying to Add New Slide ..notihng happens. The link on release is:
http://mysite.com/administrator/index.php#add

While the source module has this link (on Add New Slide):
http://mysite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=89#add

In Basic I have:
Automatic module id: enabled or disabled
and type different module id, e.g.:
gk-is-2 or the same...

Any suggestions will be priceless...
