Quick Jump Menu - Drop Down Menu
I build a module that collects all sub-menu items and present them in a Select list.
I have a big menu structure, and you can get lost navigating it to reach the desired item to read.
I have a 3 level menu, Example:
- Business Segment
- Company name
- company history
- company profile
- company contact us
so i created this module to show me all the company names in a select list or a drop down menu, as a Quick Jumb.
u can see it demo on
www.pcsigg.com/index.php
u can download it from
My website walid nehme
under downloads and do not for get to register first.

Thanks for the PM, but that confirms my first post - correct email address, so, thinking it may be a problem with that email having the dot au on the end, tried extra registration, with another email, and again, no email

Hi walidn,
I tried your module yesterday and it worked just fine right out of the box.
I haven't yet thought of a way to implement, but I can see it coming in handy *somewhere* along the way.
Nice work!

Re: Quick Jump Menu - Drop Down Menu
Hi Walidn,
Great job. It is a well needed option for Extensive Joomla! Installations.
Here are a few issues I encountered trying to register and download the module:
1. Never received a confirmation e-mail.
2. Those security characters on the login module are totally unreadable as they look distorted and blend with the background. I reloaded the security image more than 20 times, yet only once I could successfully read the code.
3. I tried to login without the activation just to see if it is possible and I get 2 "header already sent" errors generated by "checker.php on line 30".
I admire your hard work and talent in creating a well needed module but if you are making the fruit of your hardwork available for free to your fellow Joomleans!, shouldn't you also make it easier for us to enjoy the result in a more user-friendly fashion?
Keep up the good work!

Re: Quick Jump Menu - Drop Down Menu
Hi Walid,
Thanks for the fine and useful module. I have a couple of question for you:
1. How can I shorten the length of the drop-down menu? I am planning to use the module in a compact design with a lot of drop-down items. The Default drop-down displays 10-15 items before the scroller appears on the side. Is there a way I can tell the module to start the scroller let's say after 5 menu items are shown?
2. Is there a way to make the drop-down menu to stay on the selected menu item once the page is redirected, rather than going to "select an item" option?
I'll appreciate your feedback.
