Any thoughts?

With that kind of error, I think your using the installer for Direct Admin. Try to go to http://joomla.astang.com and click the appropriate Control Panel link for your Installation.

Fine suggestion Rhee but I am using the cpanel version. Although now I am using the 1.0.2 and I get a similar but slightly different error, but still no joy.
error!

Possible Error(s):
- invalid username/pass
- invalid cPanel theme

I must assume that the radiance theme is not valid for this script. Is there a list of valid scripts that I could possibly chnage to so I could get this working?

try changing to x, bluelagoon or any rv skins.

Another thing, which port is you cpanel running? Our scripts needs cpanel port to be on 2082 (non https connection).

There are other host which tends to do a force redirect to port 2083 (https connection) when logging on to cpanel.

please do try to run the migration again. it is possible that your files wasnt overwritten. we do suggest to run the script again or re-migrate the process by running the script.

dont worry about re-writting your sql db.. it will simply re-write the migration.

We havent tried installation through secure connection. We will try this one out and if it has no error, then we will include it as a drop down menu in our installation page.

Rhee, I was thinking. Is your script doing http://www.mydomain.com/cpanel to get to the cpanel of my site? That seems like what it would be as then mine is rolling to the secure port. Couldnt you change the script to call http://www.mydomain.com:2082 instead?
I'm no coder so excuse me if I am shooting in the dark. Just seemed like it would work because if I try http://www.mydomain.com:2082 I get in fine w/o the secure business.

Just a noob throwing out ideas.  :D

Im sorry, i must be very sleepy already. Our script does query 2082 to authenticate with cpanel. Anyway, try using x2 as your theme. I havent really tried using radiance but I really cant see any reason why it would not work.

Just let us know if you are still getting error with x2 theme.

ohhh.. unfortunantely.. your cpanel is using PORT 2083, its a known issue.. we are working to make it compatible with port 2083 since its currently for "port 2082"

port number can be seen by checking on the URL which shows below:

Image

will announce as soon as we got the SOLUTION for Port 2083 working.  ;)

You are welcome. I'll get on that Mambo install for you today.

I have been stuck on this migration of my main site. Seems nothing is going right. Looks like I may just have to drop it and do it all from scratch. Clean install and re-submit all my files and content. I only have like 30 content items and a few hundred images.  :'(

Hi Guilliam, I have just migrated a site over and have got the strangest admin template (attached) it is still mambo, it all works but the colour scheme is very different but quite nice? Have you been highjacked by mambo (haha). (edit) I have just tried it on a second site with the same results, very strange, I migrated over 2 sites yesterday with no problems.

Do not know if this is relevant or not, the 2 sites that migrated successfully have safe mode off and the 2 sites that did not migrate have safe mode on?

Hi gws

Don't know if this will help but I got exactly the same and it seems my cpanel is on the wrong port (2083 instead of 2082). So my sites did not migrate yet...

But I know they're working on a 2083 version already...  ;)

just to confirm:

"2 sites that did not migrate have safe mode on?"
"2 sites that migrated successfully have safe mode off"

so it follows:

safe mode ON  =  migrate fail
safe mode OFF  =  migrate success

^^please CONFIRM if the equation is correct or not.  hope you are still online to reply back,.. asap. will make a QUICK fix for this. thank you..

Hello guilliam,
I have tried to auto-migrate, followed all the steps and prompted a "Migration Successful" but unfortunatly, nothing changed...  :(
I am currently under version 4.5.2.3 and did the auto-migration twice...only the backend template have changed.
note also that my cpanel is in 2082...not 2083.
Does this mean it only works if we are still under version 4.5.2.2?  :( :(

is this EVENTS CALENDAR component? if it is.. kindly check with the author/developer of that component.. MAYBE the current version you are using is not compatible with Joomla.

What I have is Events v1.2 by Eric Lamette, Dave McDonell . I also have the latest event module and calendar module but it seemed to work except for the Event component.

yup.. ive seen that in the site (in your signature) and saw the error.. what i can tell is that it is an incompatibility issue of the events for joomla 1.0.2. to resolve this, i suggest that you UNINSTALL the events module(plus its component and/or mambot if it has any). then try installing it back. make sure to make a backup of the info's you saved in your events so you can just copy paste it right back when you re-install.

basically, what im saying is that this is NOT a migration problem.. since i can see that your site is pretty well running over joomla 1.0.2 already.. so that follows that this script has "done its work". if you still have issues on the events calendar, that thing we cannot provide FULL support with and is best that you check with its corresponding support site or 3PD author/developer. since, honestly we/i dont use that module, so i cannot give you a precise and/or correct solution or answer to your inquiry. :)
