For our project we have chosen the Cassiopeia default Joomla 4 template. We've created a new Cassiopeia Child-template and added some great features as well.
A New Child-Template based on Cassiopeia default Joomla 4 template
A Child template works exactly the same as any other template except that it uses all the code, PHP, CSS and JavaScript of its parent Cassiopeia template.
Features:
New web fonts "Poppins" and "Montserrat" have been added. In the template settings, you can choose a different font for the "Heading" <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, <h4>, <h5> and <h6> and the template body. You can also set the "font weight" for the headings.
- You can add your own custom Color scheme - Color palettes for a specific section like text color, link color, background color, button color, etc.. You can add custom Background image.
We have added several additional features such as:
Alternate Off-canvas layout for the Menu Module
Support for Hover Menu
Swiper Touch Slider library etc...
How to Install a Joomla Child Template
Create a "Child Template" for the default Cassiopeia template. In the left column of the Joomla administration, click "System > Site Templates > Cassiopeia Details and Files > Create Child Template".
Download the package, unzip and upload all files to the sub-template folders "media/templates/site/cassiopeia_demo" and "templates/cassiopeia_demo".
