register, then automatically send email with link to file

Hello,

I'm looking to be able to create a page with a list of files for download (pdfs).

When the user clicks a file to download they will be prompted to complete a few basic fields including email address and a unique link to the file will be sent to their email address.

Ideally the 'registration' fields will be separate from the standard joomla account registration. I don't really want users to setup site accounts. I would just want to gather a bit of info each time someone wants to get a file.

I wonder if there is an extension that will allow me to achieve this? Or could somebody suggest another method to achieve the same (or similar) result?..
