Hi,

I want to have a page with an width X for the content and a right sidebar. But when viewing a specific component (Virtuemart), the sidebar should disappear and the content should have width Y. I thought of something like if (currentpage = com_virtuemart) then { display <div id="shop"> } else {display <div id"=content"> AND <div id="sidebar">. How can I achieve this in a Joomla template? Found nothing in documentation....

Hi Thomas,

An example if collapsing/hiding a column is posted here; viewtopic.php?f=466&t=393453

What you need too do to get that to work is show modules in your right column except for that menu where you show virtuemart.

Thx, this could work. But isn't there any "nicer" solution? A variable containing the current component or something like that?

The example is more flexible, it would work on any component, or content page. You could try to do it the other way, but the example is a commonly used solution.
