I want to try and get a vertical 160x600 Google ad on either side of the sheet. I know theres enough room, however I don't know where I should put it in the html template... Has anyone tried this before? Cause I wanna try to get the ads out of the sheet itself.

Is there no way to do it? Could I just input the Google Ad code and pray it shows?

Would posting the templates HTML code from the admin panel help? I tried playing around with it, but all I managed to do was have the ads force the sheet down.

For insert Google Ads in module, you can use this extension :

Just copy-paste your Adsense code > enable > save.

thanks for the reply and i'll definitely use those, however I wanna know if I can get the ads outside the sheets, where there are no module locations?

See, on my site where I have the right modules, with latest news, etc? I wanna know if I can get ads more to the right, where that space is between the sheet and the scrollbar

with extension, i think you can insert Ads in anywhere on your site.

I was also wanting to do the same thing...I've downloaded the modules and completely understand how they work but I think his question (and now mine) would be better illustrated with a picture

For do that, i think you need to customize your template.
You should create new module position for insert ads as your requirement

because i try for check your site and your template didn't have module position on place as you mean above (in your attachment)

Do you have any knowledge on the subject or can you possibly turn me to some resources on how to add this module position? I am a newbie when it comes to HTML but I do know how to modify it somewhat I just don't know how to place something on the sides of the page, specifically how to define that I want that module position outside the page and telling it whether to be on the left or right....

Ive also seen ads that scroll down with the page, I think that is interesting aswell
