Module only show on main page

Post by voozer » Wed Mar 14, 2012 8:44 pm

Joomla install 1.5.23
purchased template

The main page of my site has two custom html modules with assigned positions User 1 and 5. I setup an internal article page linked from the main menu. I removed these modules (editing in module manager) from showing on this particular menu option.

When I navigate to that particular page, the modules don't show, but the "div header" space is still there so my headers are not showing but just an empty space where they would be if allowed. So, my article text doesn't show up till farther down on the page.

Is it possible for an article content to show up farther up on the page? or is that an all pages or none template change?

Links to main page: http://www.downcold.com/specialtybuilding/index.php
Link to internal page: http://www.downcold.com/specialtybuildi ... &Itemid=54

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

I'm not sure if this is technically the best way to do this, but what does appear to be working is to set in position.css, the position of the main content area to "absolute" specifying a position on the page, then giving it a z-index to make sure it shows up in front of the top content area. Again, there is probably a simpler way of doing this. Fee free to post if you have another idea.
