Hi,

I've tried out the Pixsearch and RokAjaxSearch modules... both work
fine unless there are com_search template overrides. In this case they
do not return results.

Any ideas why AJAX wouldn't work if there are template overrides? Is
it specific to the search component or does it effect other things?

wow, very sorry for the little off-topic but i'm gratefull for your post. I couldn't get why RokAjaxSearch doesn't work several days now and the hint that a template override messed things up saved me.

Didn't fix it as such, just removed the template overrides for com_search and relied on CSS as best I could to format search results.

Anyone able to provide a little more info on how to deal with template overrides? I'd like to get either pixsearch or rokajax search working - but I have no idea what to do with any of the com_search or mod_search files.
