Hi,

The way the site I am building is designed, it requires the main menu item to be "active" if the user is on any page in the corresponding category. To explain: there is a main menu at the top and a corresponding left menu that has section links, if the user is on any of those left nav links, the corresponding main menu item needs to be active as well.

I have set up all the content taxonomy to be in proper categories etc, my idea was to send the category as a parameter in each of the links and do a tiny bit of PHP processing in each link to see if the categories match, if so print "class='active'".

I was hoping to do this in a menu override, is this doable, or is tehre a better way?
