I am considering Joomla but I need certain types o functionality:  (a)I was looking for an extension that allows the user to “rewrite” specific words and phrases, improving keyword density of my Atom and RSS feeds.  (b) Image Downloader. Downloads and re-serves remote images, preventing broken images due to hotlinking. (c) Post Engine. “Posts out” to sites you create on a number of blogging platforms, including WordPress, BlogSome.com, and many others. “Posting Out” means that, after content has been generated by Joomla, this content can be “pushed” automatically to a blog you own [same or different server]. (d) And lastly a Feed Engine. Pulls, parses, and stores RSS and Atom feeds from a variety of sources, including other blogs, marketing resources, affiliate programs, and other forms of XML aggregation. I would like to launch distributed content networks based on the feeds.

I think you should check the official joomla extensions repository

http://extensions.joomla.org

and I'm sure you'll find lots of plugins, components, modules that will help you with these tasks
