Joolma 1.5.2 & PHPBB 3 Forums

Is it possible to integrate the users from our current forums, PHPBB3, into a new instal of Joomla 1.5.2? Only really asking as previously we have only had the forums, and Joomla is a new idea to run our main website. But rather than each user having 2 logins, one for the main site and another for the forums, I was just curious to know if the users from the forums can be integrated into the new Joomla installation.

There are extensions becoming available that will permit this.
Check the JED for details

I am in the exact situation as you. I am looking around also, post your findings, I will once I found a way.
