Highlighting a Cotent in the LIST of Articles

I want to highlight few contents as "Important" or "Popular" or "New" in the List of Articles.

Usually it is done by placing a small Image after the content.

Please see the image below.

You see an Article Listing, where the image of "NEW" is placed in front of one article.

How to achieve this task in Joomla by using any extension?
