I've got the latest version of denVideo 3.6 and installed it into Joomla 1.5.8 in Legacy mode. I want to use the JWPlayer setting and while video plays ok in the page, when it goes fullscreen, the top and bottom of the video is off the laptop monitor screen. Is there any fix for this? I dont want to use the 3K Player as it doesnt have the fullscreen controls. I note that the denVideo plugin uses version 4.0 of the JWPlayer and the play developers have released 4.3. Can upgrading the player be done?

I've used another module called "Simple Video Flash Player" which is based on a earlier version of the JWPlayer and my video played fine in fullscreen so I'm assuming its a bug with the player and not the entire denVideo plug.
Anyone got any ideas on this? Sorry for pushing but its the only thing holding up me releasing my new site....

I am building a radio show website where I want to include a gallery to all the bands' music videos on [youtube]. I have tried figuring out how to add the thumbnails for the videos but have been unsuccessful.

Can anyone help?

I tried v2.9 from joomla archive on joomla 1.0.15. UIn installed both mambot and moldule, and set a module to display. At first something broke an external javascript file's call to getElementById(). When I disabled that, function it showed the below warnings, and the rest of the page didn't load. I was sad because I liked the implementation, it was simple and clean, but I suspect the externals which iyt's loading don't necessairy play well with things like mutlithumb or lightbox which need extra javascript files, and may require Iframes which I disabled. I don't know what else could be the reason. here is the error:

Warning: include_once(mambots/content/dencode.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in F:\xampp\htdocs\public_html\modules\mod_dencode.php on line 18

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'mambots/content/dencode.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;F:\xampp\php\pear\') in F:\xampp\htdocs\public_html\modules\mod_dencode.php on line 18

Fatal error: Call to undefined function showdencode() in F:\xampp\htdocs\public_html\modules\mod_dencode.php on line 22

I am having problems getting the thumbnails to show when I embed a [youtube] video. I noticed on the demo http://tvfir.co.cc/ page the [youtube] Thumbs work. Is there a fix? Can anyone help?

Hello,

Thanks for the quick response!

I am actually using jmultimedia 1.1. I just downloaded it perhaps a week ago.

The problem I am having is that where ever you have it setup to show a thumbnail of the [youtube] video (Such as in the module), I have no image. I have looked t the exported HTML and the img source has no data.

<img src="/">

All the thumbs have that as the code.

Is there an adjustment I am supposed to make?

I hop this is making sense. :(

Thanks in advance.

Jodah

In the end, I wrote my own display module in Flash and reduced code overhead by about 60KB. Also, it is now passes W3C tests. The basic information is here:

YES!!! I got it to work worked. My problem was that I had create media articles with an older version and was using those files when I uploaded the more recent jmultimedia. I guess the thumbnail (small image) is generated when I create the article page (which makes sense off course). But I was thinking that it was created on the fly, each time the page was served. When I ditched those old files a created them again, all was well.

Hope this makes sense. Thank you 3dentech. This is a great plugin. Truly!

Cheers

Hi,

Just wondering which version to download. The JED says 3.9, but clicking on download, it looks like I need plg_denvideo_v4.0b.zip

Is that the one?

Thanks,

Dave.

Yep - upload a screenshot of your video with the exact same name as your video - and put in the same folder as well.

Thanks!!! I tried it and it worked fine. By the way ... do you have any idea of what causes the videos to pause and download slowly? As sometimes Denvideo plays straight through ...

I have been looking for well over an hour and I can not find anywhere where it gives the system requirements to run DenVideo or JMultiMedia. Can you please direct me to this information please?

Thank you.

Hi,

Same problem over here. Joomla version 1.5.11. and the latest module and plugin for denvideo.
Video shows and works great in all browsers, FF, Opera, Safari, Chrome, but not in IE7+8.

Any suggestions. I have looked at internet options, java options et cetera in my browser. No image, just sound playing from a [youtube] video.

Important: In the code I see a not IE statement. I want to try taking these out, but where, which file?

Code:
<!--[if !IE]>-->
<!--<![endif]-->
<!--<![endif]-->

Regards,
G

File address is http://blip.tv/file/get/Sassco-ForestHallGame550.mp4

Check (module)
http://sassco.co.uk/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=58

and (article)
http://sassco.co.uk/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=59

Both are Denvideo. It doesn't load in IE 8, but seems okay in Firefox (on PC).

Please advise.

Hey guys!

I'm just wondering whether it's possible to play any given media file, let's say a hosted meda file ([youtube]/amazon), 'from' and 'to' predefined time with this plug-in? I mean, I want to play only chunk of the whole file, for example, from 1:30 to 5:30. Is it possible?

Thank in anvance!

Regarding the problem Rodsdesign and Lupke were having in IE7: I just tested my new swf video in IE7, and it works fine. (I don't have IE8, so I can't test that right now.) I was wondering... might a problem like that be compatibility between IE7 and the swf file itself, rather than something to do with Denvideo? That seems more likely, because all that Denvideo does is deliver the data - it's up to the browser to play it. Rodsdesign and Lupke: What application did you use to make your swf files? Might there be something to investigate related to that (software version, settings, etc.)?
