Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
The plugin is only installed once on your system, then you can use the code as many times as you need.reza345 wrote:1-in joomla 1.0, import many rss link with old version of this plugin in contents was possible. but in Native version of kl_rssfeed dont work ?

There are no differences between this version and the former 1.0 version.
Something to remember is that content plugins don't fire in modules.
A solution is to use a module loading an article

Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
I did find the problem, it should be good to know for newbees like me that the editing of the article where the plugin is working, should be done in code "mode". Any chararcters that are between the brackets, coming from the visual editor, are breaking the functionality.

It should not, at least when using tinyMCE or JCE.denvarel wrote:I did find the problem, it should be good to know for newbees like me that the editing of the article where the plugin is working, should be done in code "mode". Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
I used jce and after the cleaning the the code it worked as a charm.
The code cleaning was necessary after copy-paste the rss link from google. I did paste directly in jce and was not working, I delete the link associated with "break link" button of jce, still not working, finnaly i edited the code straight, deleting whatever was there, except the rss. Until that it didn't show anything.

Thanks, you are right it was not published. I checked it earlier however and could have sworn it was but anyway.
I moved my domain into its permenant home before you replied that is the reason for the URL change.
Thanks again.

Re: Excluding Certain Articles
NEW QUESTION:
Is it possible to add a css parameter edit the php to exclude certain rss feed articles? I have an rss feed from a local news website, but I might not want articles about car crashes or crime to be included. Is there any way to exclude articles that contain certain words OR to only include articles that include certain words?
Thanks!

Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
I love the way this works but I seem to have a fairly basic problem. It isn't displaying at all in Internet Explorer.
http://marksbloom.co.uk/services/news-feed-test
It works fine and as intended in Safari, Firefox and Chrome
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks

Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
Are you saying that my link works correctly on your IE?
Thanks for the note about the head tags, now sorted.
I can't get it to work on IE and, more importantly, nor can my client.
I would appreciate some thoughts on this.
Thanks

Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
I posted here a recently, can't find it here now.
My feed using your plugin looks perfect on Safari, Firefox, Opera etc but doesn't display at all in IE.
You did reply to tell me it works in IE. I'm sure it does, it just isn't for me or my client.
I'm sure the problem is something I've done wrong and your assistance would be appreciated.

Re: kl_rssfeed 1.5 native—support
There is a parameter to use globally or for each feed to decide of the direction of the feed.lafanter wrote:Hello sir,

Edit the plugin to set it globally or add the direction of the specific feed in the call in the article.
Example:
Code: Select all
{kl_rssfeed rssrtl="1"}http://developer.joomla.org/index.php?format=feed&type=rss{/kl_rssfeed}
If this is still not working, you may have an issue with 1.5.15 that will be solved in 1.5.16.

Thanks for your time. I didnt realize what RTL meant and checked the option to "yes". My issue got resolved after checking "no" for RTLinfograf768 wrote:There is a parameter to use globally or for each feed to decide of the direction of the feed.lafanter wrote:Hello sir,

Edit the plugin to set it globally or add the direction of the specific feed in the call in the article.
Example:
will display this feed as RTL.Code: Select all
{kl_rssfeed rssrtl="1"}http://developer.joomla.org/index.php?format=feed&type=rss{/kl_rssfeed}

Hello Infograf,
I am so happy to use your wonderfull plugin.
Now i am migrating my website under Joomla 2.5
Did you plan an upgrade of kl_rssfeed on J2.5?
