Is it possible with JosDewPlayer 1.5?

Sorry my english is not very good. I hope ask correctly
If josdewplayer is not on that page, no problem.
if the setting is not to autoplay, also no problem

Hi infograf768, thanks for the response.

I meant to ask was if JosDewplayer is on page A, then I move to page B.
Btw, I've tried installing on local, it was great. very neat.
But I also need the audio too keep playing without restarting when I move to another page.

That is impossible without using a fixed frame where the player would go on playing while the site would be loaded in the other frame.

Hello

Firstly, thanks for this wonderful application. Works almost perfectly :)

Which brings me to my problem; the playback of one of my mp3s finishes early, before the end of the track itself. The player reaches what it shows to be the full length (i.e. it plays 231/231) but this chops the track off short. I've checked that the file was fully uploaded and that it's the correct length and size. All of the other 9 tracks are working fine (and some of them are longer/bigger than the one I'm having a problem with).

Is there anything obvious I might be doing wrong which could cause this?

Thanks and regards

Chris

Hiya

Further to my last mail - my website must have got a good night's sleep, because it played perfectly this morning! I hadn't changed anything so I don't know why it's fixed now, but it is.. :) The joys of technology!

Thanks again for the player - it's really brought my site to life.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi!
I have a problem. I've downloaded and installed josdewplayer plugin and posted an article with {play}images/2raumwohnung_-_Ich_Denk_An.mp3{/play} tags. When I open my site (http://bounz.net) I see only blank space in the place where player should be. In the page source I've found a link to the .swf file with parameters (http://bounz.net/plugins/content/dewpla ... toreplay=0). But I can't directly open this link. I receive an 403 error "Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /plugins/content/dewplayer.swf on this server." But when I try to open .swf and .mp3 file separately they opens normally. Permissions on files are set to 755.
What is the problem and how should I solve it?

I am afraid this is not related to josdewplayer. I indeed tested your links with same result.

I want to play my MP3 files which publish via Docman. Its possible JosDewplayer can integrated with docman? or any other solution will be highly appreciated.

Docman is designed to provide a file repository, not to execute any of these files.
A Content plugin is what its name implies, it can only be used in an Article.
One would have to hack docman very heavily to provide the function you desire.

Which text? I don't see any text related with the josdewplayer code whether in display or in the page source.

I've solved my problem.
This script was being blocked by a mod_security rule. Thanks to hostgator support, they corrected it quickly.

Hi Bounz, did HostGator fix the rule on their end or were you able to do it yourself. I have the same problem and am hosting with HostGator as well. If HostGator did it what did you ask them so they knew what you were talking about?

Thanks!

No, I wasn't be able to fix it by myself. I've described my problem and their specialist corrected the rule.
This is my text:
"Hello. I'm using Joomla! for my site and can't use one module. Module is using to show mp3 flash-player. As a result I have next statement in generated HTML:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://bounz.net/plugins/content/dewpla ... toreplay=0" width="200" height="20" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <param name="movie" value="http://bounz.net/plugins/content/dewpla ... toreplay=0" />

<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /></object>

So, there is a link to flash-player with some parameters:

http://bounz.net/plugins/content/dewpla ... toreplay=0

Problem is that player is not shown on the page. When I try to use the link above, I receive an error 403 Forbidden.

But.
When I delete parameters from the link and open only

http://bounz.net/plugins/content/dewplayer.swf

I can view the player with no song loaded. Furthermore, when I use the link to the song http://bounz.net/images/2raumwohnung_-_Ich_Denk_An.mp3 - I can access it (download or listen).
But the whole link is not working.
I tried to set permissions to both files to 755 or 644 - but no result.
What can be the matter of the problem?"

I was surprised to find that the AUTOPLAY and AUTOREPLAY features were not working. However, I found the 2 bugs (v1.6 of josDewPlayer):

line 49,
if(!strcmp($thisParams[$i], '[AUTOPLAY]')) {

should be

if(strcmp($thisParams[$i], '[AUTOPLAY]')) {

same problem exists in line 52 with the AUTOREPLAY feature.

To Infograf768 Hello from Italy
I should transfer my site from altervista.org to netsons.org, but your plugin does not work on netsons, despite having set the same parameters and paths, as you can see if you connect the two sites. http://cmoon123.netsons.org and http://cmoon123.altervista.org.
The permissions for files and folders are the same. I contacted netsons, but they replied that depends on the configuration of joomla. I do not think so, but a configuration of their servers, but i'm not really expert. You could help me solve this problem?
Thanks anyway

Hi there!

I'm loving the plugin.

I need to urgently (by Friday 20th March 2009) change the colours of the plugin button and slider from orange and green to blue (www.legacyforum.myzen.co.uk) Can you tell me how to do this?

Yours faithfully,

Ollie

This is a great little plugin; however I ran into an unexpected issue. on ver. 1.59 - I wanted to create a little side module that display a short list of mp3s. I created a test file first and verified that the plugin worked within content - worked perfectly -

I then created a custom html module and turned off the editor to be sure of no problems, and inserted the following code:

Test MP3 - {play}images/mp3/Economic_Conditions.mp3{/play}

Instead of the player being displayed, the raw code is displayed. I've not have this happen before. Why can't you use a custom html module to display the player?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry.. found the answer in another post here. I've over looked it. All solved with loading the customContent Module!!

Thanks again!!

Only the code appears. I've put it into a customModule.

I use JCE editor. Is this the cause of the problem?

I've managed to get the player working. It was a problem with my JCE editor which i've fixed.

But now I realise that the music must restart everytime I refresh or change to a new page. I've looked around and it seems that there are only two solutions to this problem. 1. Use a pop up based player or 2. Use frames inside your window.

Both I don't really like very much.

I wonder if josdewplayer can be configured to 'continue' playback from when it was last stopped. Meaning if I refresh the page the player 'remembers' the time at which it was stopped and simply continues from there when loaded in the next page.

Can this be done? If not, will you consider this feature for future builds?

Awesome Player !

Is it possible to put the player on my products descriptions ? (I'm using Vuemart).
when I use the {play}/mp3/mysong.mp3{/play} it shows the code only.

I looked at this thread and found the issue can be solved using: "CustomContent module"
I just downloaded it.

How do I use the both of them as a global player ?
or is it impossible to do, so for each product I will have to create an article ? (that's too much for mp3 store) ...what is the best solution ?
step-by-step guide will be appreciate ! 8)

Thanks ahead,
