ACL - FREE Component Control Access

Post by coopsirius » Fri Aug 05, 2011 9:12 am

Please help me!

During installation of this extension "NoixACL" (it composed of n.3 elements), the second of the 3 components (namely plg_system) has blocked everything and the site went down and now reports this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /membri/managervirtuale/plugins/system/noixacl.php on line 22

The problem is that I can't get into the backend as administrator!
So, i don't know what to do to solve it.
Give me any solution to get it back working! Please.

the url site is: http://www.managervirtuale.altervista.org/
i use Joomla 1.5

Is NoixACL even still being maintained?
I noticed the most recent posts on the JoomlaCode Project page are dated 2009 :(

Today I tried logging into my site running noixacl today and got the following error.
noixACL - An error has occurred.
Invalid XML
I am completely locked out of the admin (even the super admin) and have not found anything about this on the forums.

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can regain access?

I am having issues with the super administrator not having access to rename menus and trash menu items. I am able to unpublish the menu items so they don't show up and even delete the entire menu, but cannot rename them or delete individual menu items. I also cannot cancel out of editing a menu item. I get the "You dont have permission to access" message.

I have installed all the files from the noixacl_unzipfirst.zip file which include:

noixacl2.0.6.zip
->b) mod_mainmenu_noix.zip
->c) menuAdpater1.5.1.zip
->d) adapterModulesv1.0.zip
->e) adapterAccess1.5.4.zip
->f) adapterContent1.5.7-fixed.zip
->g) adapterSection1.0.8-fixed.zip

Super Administrator has all permissions checked in the manage groups section.

zechris - Before you install any component, backup the site so you can restore if it screws up.
zechris - are you having problems with posting on this forum? I see you have just submitted posts starting with 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and not much else. Someone in the forum will report you soon as a spammer.

I was able to resolve this by uninstalling it all first. Then, I copied the noixacl.php & noixacl.xml files from plg_system_2.0.12 to the noixacl2.0.6.zip (in folder admin/plugins/system)

For the poor souls dealing with the k2 adapter bug, DONT change the spelling of the K2 directory. Instead only edit the XML file as mentioned.

Worked for me ;D

good morning friends of the forum

I installed all the files from the 2.6 noixacl including:

mod_mainmenu_noix.zip
-> c) menuAdpater1.5.1.zip
-> d) adapterModulesv1.0.zip
-> e) adapterAccess1.5.6.zip
-> f) adapterContent1.5.8.zip

All installed from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/noixac ... ge_id=4334

I have a problem with this extension and I hope I can help, installed fine on my joomla 1.5.25, first I think the group as group manager, the group is called "test", I put the privileges and creates perfectly, but when I create the user will belong to that group the screen goes white in the browser and look for user manager does not appear, but if you want to recreate this tells you that you created that user appears in the Board Index database, but if you want to see in joomla to change the group does not appear I hope you can help me thanks in advance

Hi Guys,
I need help about setting for NoixACL.
Problem is that I have a component (phoca gallery) that show Global Parameters only for Superadmin.
Question is: with NoixACL, it's possbile enable Administrator member to see this option too?

ex
actually

Superadmin --> see Global parameters for phoca Gallery
Administrator--> not see global parameters

With Noix I would...
Aministratore--> see Global parametrers for phoca
Thank you

Has anyone had this working recently, I cannot for the life of me figure out how the "manage Levels" match up to the "manage groups". Is there documentation that details how this actually works?

Thanks

Shaun

Does anyone know whether NOIX ACL is still being maintained?

I am looking for documentation but there are longer any files on http://www.blueflyingfish.com/noixacl/.

A web developer chose ACL for us in 2010 and now we are a little stuck and cannot find help on the web.

Thanks,
Annabel
