Re: INtermittent Error when approving user
Any thoughts on this?mcpilot25 wrote:Hi - this is the error I am getting sometimes, not all the time:
"unable to find a user with the given activation string".
user registers, clicks link, superadmin get the email to approve the user, and when doing so, the above message shows.
However, the user shows as APPROVED, in the user manager, but, the user cannot log in.
Is there a reason for this and a reason it might only be happening from my client's office and not when I attempt to replicate it?
Thanks in advance,
Pat

No verification email
I've registered 3 fake users using Joomla standard login. All is fine, except that the message to user is not sent from Joomla after activation by admin. There seem to be no difference between using the standard Joomla og VirtueMart login, other than the fact that standard Jooma login does not display the message on the webpage after user registration.infograf768 wrote:can you test?
I coul pm you url and administrator rights if that would solve it.

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Hi
when the user receives an email that his account has been aproved, for default only appears his name, username and his email (and the message of course)
But how I can add his password in this mail?
Other question:
in my case, I dont need that the user activates his account. But if I disabled this option, I dont receive any mail to approve this user and this user has been activated for default.

The plugin is designed this way, sorry. The password is reminded in the first message and it works ONLY if the New User Account Activation is set to Yes.yae wrote:Hi

2.- User doesn't any received email.
3.- admin received email with text of the SEND_MSG_ADMIN value
3.1.- can i do to send to admin a link in the amil to autorize that account? with the username to autorize etc,?
I have modified the languajes es-ES in administrator/es-ES/es-ES.com_user.ini and /language/es-ES/es-ES.com_user.ini.

Works OK here.
Have you saved the modifications of the es-ES.com_user.ini file as utf8 encoded?

Ya lo he mirado. El texto que necesito cambiar no está ahí. Al menos eso creo.
Necesito cambiar el texto que sale en el mail que recibe el usuario cuando has aprobado su cuenta del usuario.
--------------------
Already I have looked at it. The text that I need to change is not there. At least I believe it.
I need to change the text that is displayed in the mail that the user receives when you have approved his account of the user.

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Going back to earlier seemingly unresolved posts: user registers and activates. Email goes to Admin. Admin clicks activation link and gets error "UNABLE TO FIND A USER WITH GIVEN ACTIVATION STRING".
If admin enables user in backend, no email is ever sent to user.
Latest Joomla, no Joomfish installed. A great plugin if it will work! Thanks.

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
Thanks for a great plugin, it is just what I needed without all the added CB garbage. All is working great, messages, emails, and function of the plugin. I did notice the following when trying a few test users.
When replying to the initial email (emiail verification) I get a screen full of the following error:
cannot yet handle MBCS in html_entity_decode()! in ......registration.approval.php line 152
and the same error when approving from the administrators email except the line is 136.
Any ideas?
Thanks again.

Are you sure you set the New User Account Activation to yes in Global Configuration?

Yes, New User Activation set to yes. Everything seems to work except the activation link sent to the admin, and the notice of activation email sent to the new user.
I will try to uninstall and reinstall the plugin...

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
I have successfully installed your Multilingual Registration Approval plug in into my joomla 1.5 site.
Here's what happens:
....new user registers
....new user receives activation email
....new user clicks on activation email link, gets message "administrator must approve you"
....new user's name shows up on joomla user page as an inactive user.
BUT, I am not receiving the "do you want to activate this new user" emails.
You say the approval emails are supposed to go to an administrator. Do they go to ALL administrators? If not, which administrator do they go to?
Do the approval emails go to super administrators, as well?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Re: Multilingual Registration Approval - support
I'm using MRA and it runs perfect.
But I have 1 question:
is possible to resend an approval account mail?
I need in some cases resend a new mail to remember to user that his account was approved....
But if I return to click the link of approval, an error is displayed
How I can return to send this e-mail of approval?

The first default message to the site administration telling them someone is registering on the site is sent to the mail specified for the site in Global Configuration.goudyoldstyle wrote:I have successfully installed your Multilingual Registration Approval plug in into my joomla 1.5 site.

The second message to administrators (after the user has replied, and giving the activation link to click on if desired) is sent to admins and superadmins for which the parameter "Receive System E-mails" is set to Yes, in their profile.

Hi,
I need to install "Multilingual Registration Approval" plug in but when I go to Extension Manager/Install and browse the .zip file and push Upload File & Install, I got "Unable to find install package"
If somebody knows how to do it, it will help me to much.
Tx.
