With the way the new layout is for extensions, I cannot find FireBoard. Could someone direct me to that download?

Fireboard is dead. Long live Kunena (it's a fork of Fireboard).

If FireBoard is dead, and Kunena is forked off of Fireboard, then what is to keep Kunena from dieing?

Is it the "largest" and most "active"?

In other words, is it the best?

largest and most active compared to what?

Not as large as Joomla ;)

I think Kunena fork is active since januari this year, they released several versions already, including stable versions for joomla 1.0 and 1.5. Fireboard existed much longer but never was really stable.

Their next release 1.5.4 should contain a lot of performance updates and is due in a couple of weeks. Besides the official releases a couple of developers release their own version containing a lot of hacks. Some of them will be included in future versions if they have proven themselves to be good and stable.

So yes, they are active and make a lot of progress in a short period.

I think Agora 3 will be better than Kunena as soon as the numerous bugs (in Agora 3) are sorted out. They are actively working on it.
But I have not THAT much experience with Kunena. You should install both Forums and testdrive them quite a bt.

O.k. I have Kunena installed. Now, how to I post. I have gone to the forum of choice, but there is not "post topic" link that I can see.
