rel=canonical for missing translations joomfish

Post by patterncatcher » Mon Jan 07, 2013 12:37 am

I am trying to add a rel=canonical tag to the head of the document for pages where there is no translation, pointing to the default language of the page.

I need to do this for several components as well as the core components.

I am using latest versions of joomla 1.5 and joomfish.

Where in the joomfish code could I intercept if the content is translated or not?

I have looked at the missing translation plugin and the jfalternative plugin, but have had no success - I can´t find where joomfish decides if what is to appear in the content area is translated or not.

If anyone could shine a light on this, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
