JCE WYSIWYG editor not showing up in IE8

Hi,
I've found some topics regarding this issue but all rather old and related to older version of joomla, JCE and IE.
The problem is the the wysiwyg editor in JCE does not appear in internet explorer when called from the front end. Well it appears but all the icons in the toolbar is gone (JCEWYSIWYG_IE.jpg).
Its ok in the backend.
There is no problem at all in Firefox (JCEWYSIWYG_FireFox.jpg)
Joomla 1.5.21
JCE Component Version 1.5.7.5
JCE Plugin Version 1.5.7.5
Internet Explorer 8
Any ideas

I am getting the same thing with IE version 8.0.7600.16385

just tried it safari 4.0.4 and chrome 10.0.648.133 with no issues. I'm using joomla 1.5.22. tried updating jce to 1.5.7.9, and also in 1.5.4 but same problem persists in IE8. Then I tried installing another editor JCK 3.4.5 and articles still wouldn't show in IE8. I then tried jce 1.5.7.9 again on another website with joomla 1.5.22 (another server), and it had no issues.
I do have several extension installed, including joomfish....all I can think of is that there is something wrong with my installed template....

Hi,
So long time ago....
I dont quite recall if this entirely did the trick for me but setting the wysiwyg editor to "default" and not "box" it doesn't float and that works for me in IE8 as well as in Firefox.
For some reason default isn't default.

sorry. not sure what you mean. "default" or "box".. is this a css reference?

It is an attribute for the field wysiwyg in the content type.
Using default content template.
