s5_image and content fader

I have a template from shape5.com. It has a module named "s5 image and content fader", which switches photos.

My intention is to increase the speed of switching. To do that there is a php file where you change $display_time_s5_iacf stuff. THIS WORKS, BUT ONLY LOCALLY.
I do the same on my webserver and it doesn't change anything.

What could be the reason ? On local machine I have a clone of my website.
