Hi everybody,

I would like to have articles styled according to category, i.e. have different CSS code for the different categories the articles belong to. For example, I could use a number of classes like contentpaneopen-cat1, contentpaneopen-cat2 etc, applying to all articles in category 1, 2 etc.
Does anybody know how this can be accomplished in Joomla 1.5? From wordpress I remember a function called in_category() which would help here, maybe there is something similar in Joomla, too? Or is this functionality already available without changing the core code in 1.5, and I just can't find it?

One more thing: It would also be great for my purposes to have the possibility to add custom fields to articles according to their category. Any ideas?
