I've installed a template on my site which uses JA News module to display certain news on the frontpage. When I disable it, no article appears on the frontpage, even those which are marked as "frontpage".

How can I disable this module completely and use Joomla classic frontpage news?

I'd like to know this answer as well. I do not want to show the latest articles from every section/category.....and since this module does not allow for customization...I'd prefer the classic frontpage so I may pick and choose what I want displayed on the frontpage. I am working on a website for a library and this ja news module is really holding me up. Please someone explain how it may be overriden to allow for the classic frontpage to work.

I guess I am just going to have to switch templates. I don't think we should be forced to use the ja news module with the different templates. There should be a way to disable it but I do not have time to wait for the answer. My library needs a new website.....thanks anyway.
