Hello.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.24 Stable. On out website we have a module that contains a youtube video from out official youtube chanel. The module always shows the same video. That wasn't that bad when we had only 4 videos on the channel but the channel is slowly expanding and now we would like the module to show more than just one specific video. Is there any possible way to program a module to show the LATEST youtube video on your chanel? I would like to know because it would be a pain to always manualy update the module to the latest video. This is our site so you'll have a better understanding what I mean. The module is at the bottom right.

I think you could set up an RSS based module (this module is already built into Joomla as "Feed Display"), that would pull the latest video from your channel based on its RSS feed.

That works but not exactly what I had in mind. If I were to do this it would pull the latest videos from my chanel but it wouldn't show them in the box. It would display the title that is linked to the youtube video. This would be so much simpler if youtube had a http adress that would link to the latest video of a specific chanel, then all I would have to do is copy the link to the module :P.

The YouTube User Uploads feed (channel) is ordered by default to list the latest video first.
BUT, this feed is cached so it can take awhile for the latest video to be displayed.
The only way to display the latest video immediately is to be authenticated when requesting the feed.

The AllMedia YouTube Feed Gallery module can display what you want (see link in my signature).
Set it to vertical orientation and disable the thumbnail display so only the video title is displayed.

Select the User Uploads (channel) feed and add your user ID for your channel.
Do not select any Ordering and YouTube will use its default of latest first.

The latest video upload will be listed first after a delay (after their caches are updated, 20 minutes to hours).
