The J2.5 version of Josdewplayer has changed the embed code to use the newer flashvars method to send settings to the player.
But the player SWF is still Dewplayer v2.1 from 2010.

The settings used to be passed only in the player link URL.
It appears this older player SWF may not recognize the newer flashvars settings.
I can see the flashvars setting to display the time is set to Yes in your player embed code.

You can try swapping out the older v2.1 player SWF for the latest Dewplayer v2.2.2 player SWF.
I have attached the newer player.
Attachment:
dewplayer-2.2.2.zip

Your player file is here:
h##p://www.debenradio.com/plugins/content/josdewplayer/dewplayer.swf
Replace that file with the new file.

I remember noticing this issue myself and cannot remember if I tested this newer player, or if it worked.
Please come back and let me know if this fixes the issue.

Thanks you for your prompt reply. I have copied the file to the website (in folder plugins/content/josdewplayer) but there is no sign of the counter. Do you have any other suggestions?

I installed JosDewplayer 2.5 on J2.5 to test.
Worked fine with the MP3 I tested - the time displayed as expected.

Downloaded your MP3 file and tested.
Did not work.

Thought the encoding may be an issue.
So recoded to 128 kbps.
Did not work.

Thought the large file size may still be an issue.
So I recoded only 6 minutes.
Did not work.

Thought the meta data may be an issue.
Added full meta data and tags using Winamp.
Worked!

So you need to make sure your media files have proper meta data for the time to display properly.
This is also good for pass-along - so listeners will know where it came from.

Also, 320 Kbps is excessive and a waste of bandwidth.
And it increases the download time; makes it slower to fully download.
I recoded your original to 128 Kbps and the file size went from 140 MB down to 58 MB.

For MP3 media 128 kbps is considered CD quality.
A radio show at 320 kbps does not make sense (even more so for online listening).
This is not some pristine recording for archive.

The total length in the time display will not show the correct length until the entire file has downloaded.
So the file size makes a difference.
