Hi, I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how to use the Image Resizing plugins in Joomla 1.5. I have looked at these two plugins, but I'm not sure that they're working properly because I can't resize at all after inserting an image:

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
These plugins are working perfectly.Just download and install the plugin.Go to plugin page in backend and give necessary settings, that's it.
When you add images in articles, they are automatically resized(according to settings you have given)

Thanks. I now see the plugin parameters for the Smart Resizer plugin (not for the Image Resizer plugin).

But what I was looking for was some easy way to resize my image through a handle as in the Scale tool in Fireworks or Photoshop in my WISYWIG. Is there anything that will allow me to do that? I know that in JCE, you can only resize the image based on percentages. What I want is to be able to resize the image like in Word or something...

Joomla's default WYSIWYG editor TinyMCE allows you to resize images through a handle, like in Microsoft Word. After inserting image in TinyMCE click on that image, then you resize it.
Not sure about JCE,if you have specific questions about JCE,let me know.I am new to Fireworks or Photoshop.

I'm sorry. I don't see any handles in TinyMCE upon clicking on the image. Using Joomla 1.5.23.

Why not just resize the images to their proper size before you upload them using one of the many free online image resizers? It is better then "scaling" an image.

I could easily do that, but that's not my client's interest. They want to be able to easily see the image and then tweak it in real-time with the text, so they can easily see the text and the picture together to gauge their sizes.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Thanks.

The JCE editor has this function as well as many others compared to the default TinyMCE editor.
