Looks nice. The design is similar to http://demo.rockettheme.com/sep07/ It is definitely different though.
Good job!

aaaaaaaahhhh please stop,  ;) this template if you like comparison is a little similar to a template v 6.9 in the old PHPNuke (obviously without these fantastic enlighting colours, but the layout is similar...) - I'm sure this template is original! You cannot build a new template that has no similarity to anything else in the net!!!!!!

I know. I just said the design was similar. It is completely different. The only bit that is close is the header. The footer gradient is also close. It was just an observation.

Very good design, unlike what “newart" and other are saying, it’s a Unique design, because in the end there a few ways to design a template. They might look or have the same layout, but while has something different, it's all good :) Unlike other “fivepoint” template, that was a clear copy.

PS: Those who think Sep07 template from RT is unique, is not, if you follow the standard that "newart" has stated...

Anyways good, Template, yours will be one of the top templates. :)

Thank you all for visiting my template

Designing for me is like blending chocolate and sugar in the morning, you dont remember how many sugar or chocolate you put.
you just love the taste.

I've seen so many website design that influence me :)

Very nice Design!
The inner part should have another color than the background to give the site more substance and contrast to the background (maybe light grey). Tha background with the blue skylike fadeing is great! I dont think this is negative in anway but it looks like an extended version of rhuks theme just with much improvemnts :)

Is one of my favourit themes.
Cheers

I just ran through a number of the themes.  In terms of looking for a winning DEFAULT theme, I think your's is one of the best.  Its a clean layout without, what I would call, oddities.  By that mean, you don't have random graphics (like grass) or a huge header area, nor do you have a really dark theme.

As the above poster mentioned, about the only addition would be to alter the background white on the left and right.  For those of us with widescreen monitors, its a little bright (and as such distracting)!  Perhaps, rather than fading the blue to a complete white, you fade to a light blue?

all seems correct for me, only one suggestion, maybe a search button should be better to use...

I love this template ~ I loaded it into a Joomla install(1.5RC3), but it's not displaying well for me in Firefox (2.0.0.11) - Anyone else seeing this issue?    The top banner area is scrolling vertically and the background gradient is broken up and not aligned correctly.

Looks great in IE.

How do I add the top menu?

Great work!

It's been tested in Firefox 2.0.11 and has no error. Do you see the demo site above showing any error in Firefox ?

The demo site displays correctly, it's just my template install with no content was not displaying correctly - I was thinking since I didn't have a top menu installed it messed up the spacing in the banner area.  Maybe as I add content, it may help.

I'm still learning this stuff... I'll keep working on it.  I may reinstall Joomla with sample data and see what happens.

Thank you for the reply ardh0!

The template lined itself out in Firefox once I added some content. The scrolling top header in Firefox was corrected once I added a topmenu.

I figured out how to get the topmenu to display, using position 'user3', but I cant get each menu item to have the background of the topmenu bar - the background of each item is just a gray box like on the left menu - how do i set that up?  The top menu bar is displaying, but where a menu item is placed has a grey background.  I just used a regular mod_mainmenu type module for the top menu - does that need to be different?

Thanks

Make sure to set the "Menu Style" in Module Parameter to "Legacy - Flat List"

Hello ardh0,
I am using your template, its very cool, i do like it.

I am having a problem with displaying images in the menu's. Using Internet Explorer or Firefox, when i view my website, the images in the munu's are showing with a border around them. I'm not sure why.

Looking at your demo website, you don't have this problem so it must be something that i am doing wrong.

Could you help me out here?

This is my website; http://www.irelandboinc.com
One of the problem images is the "Download BOINC" image in the left menu.
John.

I'm using this template as well and love it. The only thing I can't work out is how to add my own picture across the top. Which file should I replace?

What i done was i replaced the joomla logo with my own logo.

If you want to do this go to, templates/cah_ndeso/images -> replace the file "logo.jpg" with your own logo. But if you do this you will have to make your logo a "JPG" image and you will have to call the image "logo.jpg".

Anything after that, i cannot help with as its not my template and i'm not great at this stuff.

Hope that helps youto get started.

John.

I love this template.

How do I reduce the overall width so I don't get the vertical
scrollbar at a resolution of 1024 x 768?

I don't like to use the narrow width option.

Thanks,
Trucktime
