Change the Logo Image

If you'd like to change the logo to your own:

1. Make sure your logo file is saved as a png-24 file.
2. Upload it to /templates/redevo_aphelion/images folder.
3. Open template.css file - Find

Code: Select all

a#sitename1{
width:258px; /* maximum 500px */
height:52px; /* maximum 68px */
}
And change the width and height to the width and height of your logo image.

As said in the note, the logo file should be less than  500px wide and less than 68px high.
It should be transparent png-24.

Any other questions please let me know  :)

Hope you'll like it  ;)
Nice your template :D

I had no problems installing on the latest nightly build.  I don't know what those folks were running into.

Really looking forward to things being less busy for libaizhuo.  Thanks for the fantastic template!

Nice template. I did some testing to help you improve it a little and I found a few problems, all when using sub-menus.

When you make a submenu, for example:

Menu link:
-- Sub menu link
-- Sub menu link
-- Sub menu link

Then when you click on one of the menu links wich has a sub menu underneath,  your 'head menu' moves a little. So it isn't in line with the rest anymore. You can see an example at: http://www.llrgb.nl ('Informatie' and 'Nieuws' have sub menus).

Another problem using sub menus is that when you click one of the sub menu links, the other sub menu links aren't displayed as sub menu links anymore, the >> indicating that it's a submenu changes back into the normal > (I hope you can still understand what I mean  ;)). You can also see this problem at http://www.llrgb.nl (at the same menu items as mentioned before).

When you take a look at this problems I think your template is perfect! I like it a lot! Good work an thanks for contributing this to the community!

Regards,
Maarten

Sorry! We've been busy again  :( Didn't even realize that the vote has almost finished....  :-[

So I just want to say that thank you all for your help and support along the way - it is you who makes redevo_aphelion better and better and better... and, pleeeeease vote for redevo_aphelion template at http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board ... html!  :-* :-* :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: ;)

Re: Q-efx  I've checked out your website and it looks ok here. Did you manage to fix it? If not you can try unpublishing the right module and see if it gets better? That's the only solution I can think of for now, sorry...

Re: dsimons If you think the header is too deep you may change the css code of template.css
Find these:

Code: Select all

#header .bgbl{
background:url(../images/headerbg_bl.jpg) no-repeat;
background-position:15px 100%;
height:auto!important;
height:100px;
min-height:100px;
padding:0px 24px 26px 24px;
position:relative;
}
Remove the code

Code: Select all

height:auto!important;
height:100px;
min-height:100px;
If you want to publish an article in the user1 position - go to modules>site modules and create a new module, paste in the article and set the module position to be "user1", hope it works  ;)

Thanks for your feedback, Maarten-Square, I'll look into this.

Thanks for your support, prim.

First off... ;D
Great Template, congrats!
I have a general question though.
On the screen shot where you show the module positions, in the area marked component, how do you change the behavior of the way the articles display? I do not want it to split into 2 columns after the first article, I'd like to be able to just have a single column of articles running down the page that fills the component section. Any advice would be appreciated.

Tia,
Han

That is a function of joomla, just tell it in admin that you want the first 6 or whatever number of articles to be "intro" articles..  they are the full width ones...

umm yep, thats one way, or you can set it the "leading" to more than one as well  (leading is what I meant before too, not "intro")

always a few ways to achieve the same thing!

I have a strange problem with this template. It's my favourite and I like it a lot but there's just one strange thing I can't understand. The footer is totally random placed in the right position (it even gets resized to fit in there, so it gets a lot narrower and higher). The strange thing is that this is ALWAYS fixed by simply refreshing the page (using f5 for instance). So it doesn't looks like a problem with the css or template lay out. How could this problem be caused? If you click around on my site a little then I think you will encounter the problem to: http://www.llrgb.nl

Thanks in advance!
Maarten

Hi All,

Is anyone able to help me with this template?

We want to use it for a community radio station website, but what we want to do is create a mirrored version of the Search Bar (user4) on the opposite side.

Anyone know what I need to change? Idont have a clue.

Cheers :-)

Hi - I have worked on resolving this issue for hours and have resolved that I am either overlooking the obvious, or have encountered something no one else has. I had a Sudoku game working on a site; the game module was in position user1. I then ONLY switched the template and the game repositioned itself (I guess the user1 module did) to where it is now (see URL). I have no clue at this point. Anybody, please?

http://www.nhybball.com/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=34

PS I tried positioning the module to "component" and EVERY other user position in the dropdown, but it does not show up at all when I do that. I disabled another module in that position but nothing changed. I also deleted the module entirely, created a new one, but experienced the same results. I am running this in J1.5RC4.

TIA

*** EDITED ON 2008-01-25 ***
I had a friend fluent in templates help me work around this. There is no module in this template that can be published in the needed position. I don't know why the module moved simply because I change to this template from the default rhuk_milkyway template, but I overall like this one way better! Great job and I hope you can wrap up the little things so it becomes more widely used than all the others.

A template doesn't do this in Joomla! - it isn't a 'flat' html page. These are menu items which are controlled from within administration.

Thanks... I will read the help-file and se if I can solve it. I've changed some other parts (for example "You are Here")  to my language. I found them in the html-code, but I cant find the "buttons" anywhere...

Send article via email results in incorrect url

Post by seattleslew » Thu Jan 31, 2008 8:10 am

Anybody else seen this problem? When I click on the email icon in an article and send it, the resulting url in the email has an extra forward slash and folder name. Check out this string:

http://garydarling.net/curt//curt/index.php?view=article&id=45%3Aabout-curt-darling&option=com_content&Itemid=57

Not sure if this is a template issue or a core issue, or maybe I have an incorrect global setting. Using RC3.

Thanks for any help, Gary

Has anyone figured out how to put a banner in this template between the logo and the font size butons without destroying the rest of the layout?

Ok...I'm a complete noobie...but I got a host, I got 1.5 installed (actually I got siteground's techs to install 1.5 for me) and I've got this beautiful template installed. I was able to change the logo on the top...but for some reason I can't seem to edit the titles of the Menus (Main Menu, Key Resources, etc.). The Menu Manger says its changed...but when I refresh it still says Main Menu, Key Resources, etc.)

Any suggestions?
