about Konqueror bug, I thought a while and I read the CSS file for finding out where is the problem... I can assure that there is no bug or hidden problem about strange image or incorrect style for having a bug like yours in Knoqueror!!!!

Please prova can you see better your bug? Maybe it is useful if you can select by your mouse the area in which you have that bug. I have a suspect, an idea of what it is but I have no Konqueror (and your OS) at my disposal...

Please post here ASAP what you'll see for a prompt bug fixing! I thank you in advance for your help and for your next post  ;)

I hope to see that template as one compatible with Konqueror too (another good point for doengs:) :)

Hi,

Konqueror 3.3  was released 19-August-2004, that means this browser is over 3 years old.
Latest version on their homepage is 3.5.4 released 25-September-2006, so even the latest version is 1 year old.
http://www.konqueror.org/news.php

You can't expect that you can use historic equipment for browsing todays and tomorrows dynamic webpages.

It's not only about age, it's also about updating your software. Microsoft sends out updates on a regular basis and also make changes to the program so an updated IE6 don't look the same as the original IE back 2002.

In this case an update to 3.5.4 of Konqueror is almost compulsory. If you look on what was updated between 3.3 and 3.4, then the problem is not in the template.
Quote:
improved standard support and now close to full support for CSS 2.1 and the CSS 3 selectors module.

If the program don't support CSS standard, how can we then demand full support for that version of the program?
It's more important that the template follows the right CSS standard and not all odd browser.

Certainly you a good logic in your reply but if you are in a totally buggish template, well I do have another typoe of reply, but in this case we have to remember this: only 1 bug! That template is very good, only 1 bug in another browser never tested! That's my idea... I see that as a good template for every "season"!  ;)

And I think that bug is very simple to solve! please prova post here  :) :)

I am getting this error ,

        * It was not possible to copy the selected file.
        * JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /tmp/install_46fb77c4a9cda/en-GB.tpl_javanya.ini to /home/ashish/public_html/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_javanya.ini
        * It was not possible to copy the selected file.
        * JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /tmp/install_46fb77c4a9cda/admin/en-GB.tpl_javanya.ini to /home/ashish/public_html/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_javanya.ini

The template however installs and I am able to view it from my homepage. From the error, does it mean that, I will have to chmod admin and language to 777. That will be a security issue, I think. I encountered this particular issue with many templates.

Any ideas regarding this?

I see a white text in the white button area, for this reason this text is not viewable. All demo site is perfect for my Konqueror.  :) bye

Please can me link something for understanding how SIFR can be used in a template?

Following your good design, I'm studying you code for better understanding how a 1.5 template works...  ;) and it's very interesting!

You are welcome to do so  :)

I hope my code is easy to understand as it's the basic idea when i create this template.

good, I think the next frontier is to manage a text replacement by CSS for obtaining a real text logo (that is without any image)

Here is my contribution

Unfortunately I can't comment on functionality as I am too new to Joomla!, but this is a really lovely design and is my own personal choice (for the time being - until I know how to write my own  :P  ...) for my site.

Nice work!  Thanks.

Like it too very much its also a good idea for a BASIC template which ships with every joomla 1.5.
The "search" text is in ubuntu swiftfox needs 3or 4 pixel padding-top and the text (slogan?) fright beside the logo is only shown as grey boxes.

Cheers

testing directly to the demo site and I've found that if you resize your browser window IE7 a little, the home page is good but not the full search "element", in this case is a little out of the line and that happens when you have to use the horizontal scroll bar

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I have 2 ideas and I don't know if they are good  :-[

1 - is it possible to click on the logo for going to the home page
2 - it possible to have a fluid width template or if it is possible to have an option for choosing between a fixed width and a flexible width

Thank you.

There nothing wrong in demo site, beacause there only one page here.
http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=46
and http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=47

You may try reproduce it by adding some more articles or reducing articles limit in those pages.
Then when you try going to second page, you should see nothig in it.

newly testing your site by FireFox (not by IE7) I've seen a bug on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=29 - if you use FireFox you'll see the dot image of "li" tag hasn't in the same line its relative sentence (all the sentence is down of 1 line). If needed I can attach an image but the problem is surely in the CSS file for the list UL / LI instructions.
