Just a suggestion, and it doesn't effect your template working or not, but you can use css and images in place of all the separate tags.

Hi, great template. Hope it becomes the default! I have installed your template and so far just one thing I noticed on my installation. In the "search this site" box at the top of the page, when I type in something I cannot click on go? I have to press enter? Maybe you you can help me there. Anyway, Good luck. Thanks.

It is a graphic not a button so you cannot click it. IMHO it's more practical to just press enter than using your mouse to click the button.

But if you want to make it clear to your visitors, you can edit the search module, do not change anything but Text, type e.g "type and enter". See my demo site again http://www.firstayudith.net/joomla/.

I hope that help

That clears that up then! Yes that helps thanks. I am not too good with editing templates etc. Where do I edit the text? HTML or CSS? Again, a clean crisp template. Thankyou.

sorry a question for you a little out of the contest, but as I like very much your template I'm studying that! I see in http://www.firstayudith.com/joomla/inde ... &Itemid=40 the Article index box, where is its CSS code? What class does joomla use?

The same question if for a list viewable in contacts list that I cannot find in the demo sample site but I need to know... Thanks for for your knowledge, the time is very close tothe end and I hope you're among the 5 finalists! Well,  :-[ what about the dark series...

sorry I've forgotten to post also what just find out in your site: at http://www.firstayudith.com/joomla/inde ... &Itemid=48 you can see that the web links list has the number of visits centered... (better with right alignment) It' a bit difficult to see but it's very ugly in a normal site with "normal" numbers.  ;)

in case you are new to joomla:

- from http://yoursite.com/administrator or http://localhost/yoursite/administrator
- See the top menu Extensions -> select Module Manager
- The Search module is around line 26, just click to open
- See the Parameters on the right, there is a text box. That's where you insert the text
- Save  ;)

Hi newart  :)

The Joomla class is .contenttoc th
You can find it on the color.css for the background (around #81) and template.css for the text (around #199)

I just added 2 dark templates of javanya. Honestly it's a bit hard to find a good dark color combination for this template. I've tried several combinations but IMO it just make the site looks too crowded. So those two are the better (not the best) I found so far.

thanks for your reply I'll see that class and about the last 2 dark templates, I think they're enough. Usually dark ones are less used than light ones.

When ready I'll vote for your template ;) EDIT: if you're in the final stage, of course  :-*

Really nice template! Someone mentioned this template contest and your template specifically over in the 1.5 General Questions forum ..  I am new to templates, but really appreciate the clean professional look of this template.

Great Work!  :)

This has nothing to do with the template. It's a Joomla 1.5 feature/bug  :pop

doengs,

Let me just say that this is the best template I have seen yet! - Great Work  :)  That is said,  the breadcrum is acting wierd on some links and i have a screen shot for you to look at.  I took this from your Demo so you should be able to experiance this as well.  I'm using IE7.

Edit:  This by the way doesn't happen using Mozilla!

I would say the heck with IE7.  People shouldn't be using that anyway.  Firefox rocks!  I know you've been putting a lot of hard work to get this template to where it is right now.  Thank you for having this issue on your TO DO list :)

In your demo site I have a problem with the breadcrumbs by IE7, so bug confirmed. Only one bug and I think your template is good! :)

Moreover I've seen on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... com_search in the page of search component when you search something, in the result articles, each article has its own box dotted, where is the tas / css for doing so? searching in your css files, but sorry, I don't understand where to see for learning more... thanx again!

fingers crossed for the template :)

it's fieldset. it's the same (fieldset) as the dotted box you see around the login form module on the frontpage.
you can find it under template.css around#95  ;)

This template is my favorite !
But when i try to use it on my RC3 site, i got this error message on the index page :

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /var/www/clients/arcadie/templates/javanya/html/com_content/frontpage/default_item.php on line 115

The admin part works fine.

Any idea ?

in demo site you can see on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=43 that the ul-li tag css icon is a little hidden for almost an half part of it by IE7

and on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=41 you can see the column for Hits that it is centered, in this case it'll be difficult to see all hits in a production live site, it's more useful to be aligned at right

my (last) third post  :P is for breadcrumbs by IE7,

you can see on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=41 it's good

but on http://firstayudith.com/joomla/index.ph ... &Itemid=27 it's hidden

I hope my observations / tests can be useful for your hard work  :)
