i think you may have some problems with your new template parameters ...

params->get('showCP') ):?>  should be  params->get('showCP') ):?>

and

  should be

correct?

these errors exist for the 'showCP', 'useTitle', and 'useSlogan' checks

also, you use double-quotes (") several times, but you need to use single-quote (') instead to generate valid markup

looks great otherwise, hope you get his fixed in time!

Hello,

It seems that you have managed to download at a certain moment in time when we were re-uploading it on the server or something like this, since we have just re-checked, tested reinstalling the template (we also tried running joomla with the template on wamp, xampp, lampp with no problem).

Please try re-downloading the template and reinstalling it. Also try a different web server platform, we would be interested to know if there is a particular problem with your version of wamp (which is very unlikely, since the web server has nothing or little to do with the functionality of the template).

Best,

Mike

Hello Mike,
with this contest I have install unsinstall a lot of templates  ;D so I unsinstall all (WAMP,Joomla R1.5 RC2)
After my new installation (Wamp,Joomla 1.5 RC2) I have a new mistake when I want to install your template

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1442083 bytes) in C:\wamp\www\Joomla_1[1].5.0-RC2-Fr-1.6\libraries\joomla\filesystem\archive\zip.php on line 285

to resolve it you have to change in php.ini memory_limit = 15M (before= 8M)
After this modification,I can download your template but I have the same error (code appear at the front page)
Can you change the version in your file
templateDetails.xml
1.0.0
http://joomla15.siteground.com/siteground.zip
I reload the new version and test it when you put it on your server
Thanks
Vincent

Hello,

Thanks for the positive feedback and for this info.

Could you please provide us with a text dump of the error that you got and a screenshot, if possible? Also we would like to know the make and version of the browser software that you are using.

Thanks!

Best,

Mike

Hi Vincent,

Yes, the zip-related problem is understandable in case the PHP installation did not have enough memory to unzip the file, but the reoccurring of the former problem is interesting.

Since your case is a strange one (we didn't get feedback for such an obscure error from any other people) we would like to ask you to conduct a simple experiment in order to help us narrow down the cause of the problem. Could you please try installing xampp, joomla 1.5 on it and then our template and let us know if you experienced any difficulties.

Thanks in advance for the time and effort to provide us with so important feedback!

Best,

Mike

The header looks awesome, the diea with the control panel too ... but i would work on the footer and the control panel button.
I thought some more about the design and think best would to put the grass on the footer and "sky on top" ....
Looks a little liek you watch the life from the ground while laying down under the ground, which is not a nice assoziation even if unconciousness ...
Sorry if this sounds ...idiotic...

Cheers

Hi,

Today it worked fine for me when I tried again  :D. It was in IE7 (don't have any other browser on this work computer) and XP Professional. It was just a regular text message, no line of code etc.

But today I discovered something else. If you have a very small window, you don't get the horisontal bar (?) for scrolling sideways, left and right.

Hello Mike,
After some verifications in my php.ini (extensions,memory_limit...)I didsn't found the reason of the mistake ?.... ???
When I looked the lastest version of your template the code are the same ( index.php ) ?...   so and so

Can you give us a new version ?
Thanks

Hi Vincent,

Sure! We have re-uploaded the zip file with the corrected PHP tags syntax. You can go ahead and give it a try.

Best,

Mike

Hello guys and gals,

Recently we found that people might have difficulties running our template on a linux + apache + phpsuexec-enabled system, due to a weird permissions problem, caused by the joomla template installation extension (and/or the php zip module). We found a solution and re-uploaded the package, so if you have downloaded the template prior to now and you have problems running it on your phpsuexec-enabled machine you are more than welcome to re-download it and give it another try now.

For more details on the specific cause of the problem and on the solution check this topic.

Thank you all for the great support and feedback!

Best,

Mike

Mike,Good news today :D

All is OK but .... I had to change all
and
....in index.php
I try to dowload at time your zip file. It's the same  ???
siteground
1.0.0
21/09/07
On resume:
Your template is OK with Wamp5 and IE7 with localhost if :
1-Change memory_limit in php.ini
2-Use the latest version of your template X.x.x

Good luck
Vincent

For me is the best template in this contest. But i donno if user have option to make fonts smaller that will be great also. Because in low resolution, fonts are incredibly big and annoying a little bit. Anyway i am going to use this template.

Is it possible to put an option like this?

Thanks,

I have just downloaded and installed your theme today and I have this problem as well. #1 that is, with the
Code:
season=summer edges=curvy widthStyle=fluid TemplatePosition=center showComponent=1 useTitle=0
siteTitle=SiteGround titleFont=AG_Foreigner_Light_Plain_ Medium.ttf titleColor=135cae titleSize=32
useSlogan=0 siteSlogan=Template for Joomla 1.5 sloganFont=arial.ttf sloganColor=333333 sloganSize=12 pollstyle=FCF_Bar2D.swf showCP=1

showing up in the middle of every page. I tried downloading directly from your site and from here. Both are the same. However my Joomla is a svn from last week. I may try updating it to last nights and see if that helps. Scratch that. I am running the daily and the problem is still there.

I have installed a fresh joomla install, community builder 1.1 and fireboard. then your theme, all on top of last nights build. Still the same problem. I went thru and made sure the files mentioned in the previously mentioned thread were set to 644 and they all were.

Any thoughts?

PS.. I should add, this is so far my favorite out of the box theme I have come across. On any platform! 12 thumbs up! :)

Hi ViriiGuy,

First we would like to thank you for the great positive feedback! We are very happy to hear that you like our template.

We have revised the uploaded file and found a problem with the line ending style of the params.ini file, which was most probably causing the problem on your platform. The package file has been updated with a new one, containing a params.ini file with correct (UNIX-style) line endings.

You can go ahead and re-download the revised file.

Best,

Mike

P.S. You can look forward to an enhanced version of the template with more visual options and extras ;)

Thanks for the prompt reply siteground, however I still have the same problem. I again downloaded the template from here, then when that did not fix the problem I downloaded it from your site as well. Uninstalled the old one and reinstalled this one. I have the exact same problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you wish to see for yourself, it is located at http://www.viriiguy.com  This is my test server. Also, maybe you guys could updae your version number when you release a new version? It always say version 1.0.  thanks for the good work and I look forward to this working 100% and to the new updates you have mentioned.

Hello Guys!

There was a problem reported by ViriiGuy and other members concerning a code (from the params.ini) file being displayed on the template's pages. We would like to inform you that this is taken care of and the package has been updated.

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback!

Best,

Mike
