Yep - defenitely great work. This is also among my top 5 in favourites - without a doubt.

To many "goodies" to start comenting them all but i like your shot at the images on descriptons for article items and also the template ,,ehhh, is "tight" - for me that means it looks profesional in source code just by looking at it.

This template seems to have problems finding the CSS files when it is installed in a subdirectory, not at the top of the website.

Very clean and quick loading template. Design is soothing to the eyes and contents are easier to find and navigate at a glance(from the user's point of view)

Nice work !! Really !!

Here's a little bug. The breadcrumb displays : "you are here  http:/localhost/j15/ My content" instead of "You are here Home : My content". I don't have the same issue with other templates ???

How can i get rid of the URL ??

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\program files\easyphp\www\joomla15rc2\templates\68portal\html\com_content\frontpage\default_item.php on line 134

But not this problem with the RC3. but auparavent I created the files languages FR

And cheer for this template, it is that which I sought. French who is not gifted in English.

Hi,

Really nice template.

I've some issue here :

1. the "You are here" seems not to respond for translation !?!?! Do the template language process working ???
2. The breadcrumb doesn't display normally, actually it displays the URL instead of a normal home:mylink:myothelink ! Is this a bug !?!!?
3. section and category link won't display correctly in other lang ???

Thanks for nice work

Houston you have a problem

First -this is not only happening to your site  - I'm an seeing this in other 1.5 sites

Session data is getting added to urls after the iid - only happens sometimes (I'm guessing it is session data anyway) - sorry I don't have the problem myself so can't help debug

attached is the souce when it goes wrong - search dd43 to find every bad url

just to clarify - this is your demo site on your server

Very nice template!  I like the simplicity of the layout and style.  Now, if I could just figure out how to change the color scheme some!

Clean and neat template, I like the frontpage articles alignment, no other template has such nice alignment, and it is very easy to customise it for my needs, Thanx, my vote certainly for this.

Nice. Tableless content structure makes me interested in this one. Hope the graphics are available? Does not seem to validate W3C html though. Any comment on why?

hi all! thanks for your comments.

cantthinkofanickname wrote:

that's a good idea. i've to cleanup the graphics first. it's a mix of fireworks an photoshop source files.
i'll release it the next days.

the template is validated. :pop
that's just a joomla router issue. the validator show "errors" because all the url's get a session id with unescaped entities.
i think/hope it'll be fixed soon by the dev team. - i can do nothing :)

Post subject:  Re: Template Contest Entry - [68portal]

Whether or not the judges consider the availability of the graphic source(s) to be a criteria for an acceptable design, I would expect to have the source (layered and unconverted) png(s), if any, otherwise my sites would look the same if I reused the template!

Best if the source is either Fireworks or Photoshop but not a mix. Are these interchangeable?

Nice to start off with a cleanly passed file then any changes I make will be down to me to put right.

Really excellent work - very clean. I might be using your template for a future website, with a few design (color/images) modifications. It'd be a big "plus" to have colors and background customizable too.

I'm amazed by the quality of the HTML output by this template. My best favorite among the contest entries!

Thanks for sharing it with us.

A very good template. One of my favorites, especially beacause there is no table. :+)
Some things I noticed :
- The pdf/print/mail button, and the date/author are always visible, even when it's set to hide in the article preference. There is a bug with joomla and the global preference, but in onther templates the article per article preference works.
- The mod-login templates doesn't appears to be done when it's set on right position
- Maybe in the main menu you could graphicly distinguish a little more the submenus from the menus
