Good evening.
In forums you can read much different suggestions.
I would like to inform you that the SEO for a website is more complicated process than the CMS that used for building it.
For example, last week I created a directory with another CMS and within 2 days almost ALL my pages and subpages was appear on Google index.
Of course, I can't say that this CMS is the best for SEO. Simply, the developer has create "clever" menu items which are identified by Google bot.
Conclude, the better ranking for one website depends a little from CMS which used.

It is least dependent on CMS as all of them are written using w3c standards which make them SEO friendly, The problem comes which you use templates and get some changes in codes by a local developer who does not even know what in the world is W3C standards.

There are multiple plugins available for each and every shopping cart platform which make all of them as SEO effective platforms.

With a clean code and planned SEO, it shouldn't really be any difference. Start building quality content, and it should work out just fine

Try to make a good and quality content, with SEO frendly urls, h1, title tags, make a good backlinks and this is it, your rank in google will increase... Good luck...

I would say that no website construction software or CMS is better for SEO than any other. Basically the quality of the SEO depends on the person who designs the website and the content that it contains not the system used to create and maintain the site.

Joomle is considered the best CMS, but WordPress is more known in the field. Maybe because of the easy UI.

I'm partially biased towards Joomla. I've used it since version 1.0. With that said, the SEO has come a looooong ways. I think it has one of the best SEO's out there. I also operate a community with IPB and let me tell ya...bad bad seo. Makes me very much appreciate Joomla in this respect.

I believe that a person who complies with certain rules can successfully optimize two sites using different CMS. It is true that there are various extensions, plugins and modules very helpful but what can do a man's mind, will never make a machine. This is just my opinion!

Wordpress has a better selection of seo tools. However the choice of cms doesn't make much difference in seo.

Quality, regular content and backlinks from relevant sites will in turn provide more traffic to your site. Joomla in itself is a very good CMS which has many SEO tools built in plus further extensions if needed. Wordpress also has it's own tools & extensions. I think it comes down to personal choice.

Any CMS itself can't be good as per Search engine Optimization. It depends on how you back link your website and how much your website is readers/visitors friendly. If you do good work on your Wordpress site, that can rank automatically.

I am bit confused with your answer! Why not a CMS can be SEO friendly? According to me, if the website is well-optimized, it is really good to search engine and of course, well developed and optimized sites are friendly of search engine!

Because a CMS is a Tool ... and as such it's the way the site admin use the tool to manage the content that makes the site(it's used on) seo friendly.

It is the content and the way the content is arranged that determines the seo friendliness of the site not the tool used to insert/arrange the content.
