I developed new Project Management Software based in Joomla! 2.5 ......how do i sell it ?....

The software is in alpha version ..nearly ready.....I also need to test the software extensively to remove bugs and improve the same. I cannot afford to spend much on the software. Hence i need some advice regarding the same

But i do not have any experience in selling Joomla! software. How do i market it..or how do i earn from it. Can anybody guide me the same...

Anybody interested in partnering with me?

The most popular business model for Joomla (GPL based) is the subscription based one. The first thing you should do is to get your component listed on JED (http://extensions.joomla.org) and your extension must be licensed under GPL

how do i do this "your extension must be licensed under GPL".... Is there a registration process?.. I want the copyrights also protected also...... Who should i contact?

I went to this.... http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html
but there is no registration form or anything....
it says this " To do so, attach the following notices to the program. It is safest to attach them to the start of each source file to most effectively convey the exclusion of warranty; and each file should have at least the "copyright" line and a pointer to where the full notice is found. "

is that all that needs to be done ?..

Afaik there is no registration process. You probably just need to place a few lines of code comment in the top of every php files stating that your code is licensed under GPL license

A friendly reminder, Sumeet - J! 2.5 will only have support available until the end of 2014. If you wish for your component to be popular amongst the one who need project management solutions, you'll eventually need to make it J! 3 compatible. As sikumbang stated earlier, JED listing is mandatory for professional extensions
