How does the Joomla! Issue Tracker and bug fixing work?

Post by 1inkin » Tue Oct 31, 2023 9:29 am

Hello. Please tell me how Issues Tracker works? I have created bug reports, such as 41179 and 38765, that disrupt the normal functioning of the site and I need to fix them. But they have remained relevant for a long time. I understand that fix of bugs is voluntary. If no one undertakes to correct them, then no one cares about them except me. But is it possible to somehow encourage some specialist to take up the task of fixing these bugs? Thank you

Both issues seem to have been flagged as bugs by one of the developers. The Mattermost channel Town Square has had requests, asking for help to get Pull Requests (PR) tested. You could try to start a discussion with something like an impact statement to increase interest in debugging the issue and developing a fix.

Thank you very much for your answer. I'll try to do a discussion with an impact statement
