Now you make me feel very old indeed. I am delighted to see that most of the crowd here is so young. In fact I was helping a young person in New Zealand last night and he was almost embarassed to tell me he was 12. In my book anyone that young that is willing to take on learning something like *ambo deserves my full respect.

I will admit though I well figured Stingrey was a lot older than he turned out to be.

Remember the young people have broader imaginations that are not clouded with preconceived notions and ideas. Thus they have the keys to unbridled creativity at hand.

elleonblanco,

Don't think that the young(erish) crowd can't learn a thing or two from the old sages. Currently 22, I must admit two of my greatest mentors in life are 72 and 46. Hardly the average age range that my peer group spends time with. Folks that are seasoned in life are a great source of wisdom if they are willing to impart it.

Both young and old need to put aside preconceived notions of what the other generation is or isn't and learn to communicate better. Both "sides" could stand to gain many a friendship. I'm very honored to be a part of this community with its vast range of ages, countries and languages. We've heard lot's of hype over the years about what the "next-gen" Internet could be. IMO, this is what it is truly about:

Connecting people!

P.S. Grey/silver hair just makes you look distinguished, not old. ;)

Not sure if that is necessarily a good or bad  ;D

Then again most people who meet me in person, say I look younger than i am  :D

In some intranet forums that I have participated, posting of photos are actually encouraged. The people in HR believe that associating a nick with a photo enables the reader to actually see others as real human beings. It apparently lessens flaming, and promotes a more open online interaction.

I, for one, am very glad that this forum has this unspoken tradition. It gives a higher level of trust than all the forums I have ever participated in.

Now that I got that mushiness out of the way ... lets continue talking about how young we all look :D

@chette, the "unspoken tradition" you mentioned is really warming to the senses. indeed it gave the personal touch the "other" forum less projected.

i too was surprised to see rey gigataras looking so YOUNG. whats the youthful beauty secret!?  (",)

bout my avatar(the same ava i used in the "OTHER" forum), darn!!.. there was so many(cant even count and i hate to count it) who was misleaded that i was a GIRL! hmmnn.. my fault,.. i shaved my 3 inches burgundy  beard & mustahce the day the pic was taken. ahihihihi.

Thanks Saint for the nice complement about the white hair. I may look a little old but am still just a kid at heart.  ;D

For the Stingrey... my surprise was just that for someone that looks so youthful you posess an incredible amount of knowledge. Especially since you are more into sports than programming. It is wonderful to have so many people of different backgrounds involved in this project. I am very honored to be able tp participate.

Hé you great TCMSFKAM-people. I really like this new openess. So I also decided to pop out of the bushes ;) I am sure this communitie will make the best Tango/Rumba/Salsa/Rueda/Merenque/..... CMS ever !

I am working with mambo for 15 months now. Maintaining a communitiesite with it and did a lot of testing on a few private sites. At the moment I am looking for new clients to make and maintain mambo-sites for.

Keep on the good work.

Rik
