Sweet, and I only have 48 post to go before I'm a "Joomla Hero" ... what we need now is for them both to happen on the same day so we can have cake and ice cream! (Delusions of grandeur duly recognized) |

What comes after "Joomla hero" ? "Daredevil" , "Prima Donna", "superstar" , "saint" or whatever ? |

I just watched the Tenacious D movie today so any answer I'd come up with would be frighteningly inappropriate. But the ones I'm thinking of are making me giggle. |

I should just split my lengthy posts into multiple posts so I rise in the rankings faster. It would be great if the amount of content per post was considered for community rankings. |

who are you digging at here? While this is a casual, chatty discussion, those who are posting in these threads often post much more detailed messages where appropriate. Concise is good. Details are good. But if I ask how the weather is I don't really care that much about the types of clouds and weather systems moving in - all I care is that it is going to snow again after we've been enjoying spring! @ Pomond: I was actually only joking about the Hero thing. The important thing about participation in the forums is actual contribution. I find your posts to be informative, constructive, etc. Until today's little exchange here I've prided myself in only posting when I had something to actually say, hehehe. I'm embarrassed now about the throwaway one-liners. But, the mood of this entire forum has always been more about constructive posts than mindless banter, as evidenced by the prolific postings in General and other help forums, and the relatively slow-moving Lounge. |

So why do you think 'The Lounge' is so slow moving? Is it because (and this is not a banter...or maybe it is...but I try, although I'm new, to post and give answer to stuff I know...or at least I think I know...or would this entire line be considered banter...hmmm...go figure) we don't have enough folks that know the answers or are willing to research them? With us (if feels nice to say 'Us'....uh oh...more banter...sorry) approaching 100,000 marker, would you expect the level of 'answers' to start matching the level of questions?...or are we just not at that point yet because the membership has to grow to say...150, 200 or 300,000 members? What's your take? |

What I'm saying is the Lounge is for mostly non-Joomla related discussion, friendly things... off topic things... etc. I'm saying that the forum itself has more value for the Joomla community because the majority of posts are on-topic (Joomla) and constructive. Just an observation on which areas of the forum get the most action... and it seems on this particular forum (joomla.org) the action is in the constructive areas of the site. That's a good thing. |

A "Welcome to Joomla!" basket: 1. Joomla! T-shirt; 2. Automatic Joomla! Hero Status (Sorry, Ty, you gotta keep working towards yours.) 3. Five Yellow Stars (Peter has to share.) 4. A free template from a kind-hearted Template provider. 5. Maybe a commercial extension might be thrown in the basket? 6. One of the bobbing developer head dolls Ian has been working on ... Stuff like that! And, the parade. |
