The primary point of Web2.0
How can you really say that? Web2.0 is, as previously stated, a buzzword. You can use it relating to Web2.0 Design (striped backgrounds, bold, simple) or economics (sites such as amazon that survived the dot-com crash) , or from a technology point of view (greater level of interactivity avaliable from the web browser - like googleDocs and digg)
So please don't try to define web 2.0
That's partially my point, but Web 2.0 CAN be definable if you strip away all the design fads, social networks, and stuff which clouds the whole point -- databases. What do digg, facebook, google docs, and any other "Web 2.0" killer app have in common? They all run off databases and not hard-coded html. The rest of the "definition" - Javascript, gradients, stripes, etc. is all up to the coder of the page, but Web 2.0 IMO just isn't about design at all, but the backbone of the sites being dynamic, updatable, and flexible (Whether it's Django, Rails, or PHP being used). Since a majority of sites now use databases (or so it would seem) the web is now in a new phase - hence the 2.0.
Just my 2cents.
