Integrating JomSocial with a Business Directory

I'm leaning toward JomSocial(although their support is very slow) and adding a business directory within JomSocial. I'm looking at Sobi Pro, but I'm having difficulty integrating the JomSocial and Joomla login.

Anybody have suggestions on this(including other extensions that may integrate well) or a successful site I can emulate?

I'd like to stay wth J1.6 instead of J1.5 if at all possible.
