hello all,
i am developing an sms application and i need an sms gateway to send sms... is ther any free sms gateway i can use or can i create any sms gateway please give me some advice????

if i need to host an gsm modem .do i need to own an webserver????

Yes i think this works the same way like fax --> email or email --> fax and many of them are free. The only disadvantage is that they may add some kind of advertising at the end of your sms.

something like this, this is just an example you can find out more about this. If this works, then why use a costly service? just use email to sms kinda gateway.

There are many sites which provides free sms facility.
Some of them are smsjive.com and google also provide this facility.

Yes .. SMSjive is one of the site which enables you to send n number of free sms and in any language of your choice and it has access to any servive provider aroubd the world.

Hi naveenann,
there are many organizations offering online SMS such as clickatell. But I found most of them charges some or the other way. I doubt, some will give it for free.
