Need Info for a Site I May be Building

Just had a potential client contact me about having a website built for promoting Hip Hop and R&B music.

Basically it needs to have the ability to let new artist submit their music. It also need to have the ability to do competitions and of course people must login. That's the basic idea for it.

Can anyone shoot me some info on different extensions that would be good to build this sort of thing?

Also, what do you think would be a fair price range for this sort of thing?

Pricing can be anything from a few hundred pounds to several thousand depending on what kind of site it is.
You need to do some market research first and find out the kind of site you want it to be.

Brochure website, E-Commerce Portal, there are like 9000+ extensions http://extensions.joomla.org/
click into that and search for a few, some are commercial which means you have to pay for them and others are non-commercial which many need you to make a donation or are indeed free.
