I hope i am posting in the right forum!

I am basically a graphic designer with a moderate knowledge of HTML & CSS, i would like to make a Joomla site for my city, although i have already made and implemented a site for someone but i am aiming a more detailed and organized approach this time.

So i want to make a website for all the food outlets in the city; which will essentially include among other things:

1. A customized search for food outlets as per price, location, type of food and so on.
2. A multilevel menu much like the ‘allrecipes.com’ although with a neater styling.
3. Advertisement in the form of popups and dedicated spots too.
4. A very flexible social integration.
5. Most importantly a rating system, like I would like to rate restaurants on various levels maybe 5 or 6
6. An integrated Food blog with tagging for better search also I would like to make a separate search for food blog.
7. A user comment system much like on the blogger with the option to comment with Facebook
8. A Google map integration would also be great to show the location of the food outlet.
It would be very helpful if anyone can guide me how to plan the project and what kind of extensions will help me in making the site, and what would be the appropriate template.
Also any other suggestions are most welcome, thank you everyone.
Have a great day! :)

You can use extensions from JED to do that -> http://extensions.joomla.org/

I hope to see your great Joomla website soon!

SobiPro could provide much of the functionality you describe. They have a "Restaurant Guide" demo that you can check out at:
