Hi everyone!
I have built a webpage for a club that now have been sponsored by a company. I have been asked to put adds for the company on the webpage. So how have you guys solved this in the manner of layout? Where have you put the adds so it blends in well with the page?

Hi La Podenquera,
The easiest way is to use the "banner" section. I do this all the time on the right side of my business site and this allows me to track the click rate of the impressions of when people use them.

In the Joomla Backend - on the top menu you will have a Component Menu, scroll down until you have Banners. There are normally three-four example banners there for you to see what you can do, great for sizes etc which can be custom or set sizes.

468X60 is a standard banner size that is elongated and stretches across the page.
If you are using Joomla 1.6, 1.7 or 2.5 you will find the images in the MEDIA MANAGER folder, sub folder - Banners.

Reference where do you put them? Well this depends on how you want them seen on the page and what type of template you are using. Some templates don't allow you to have the banners in certain positions, but in essence banners can blend well or stand out dependent on the colours you make them.
