Hi,

I am getting a unwritable message on the parameter when I first look at the template. I went all over the place trying to figure this out to no avail. When I went to EDIT CSS it tells me that the unwritable item is actually orange_bg.css.
Then I went to Help/System Info/Directory permissions and the piece that shows unwritable is
Log Directory ($log_path) /var/logs/
How do I fix that item?

You need to modify the filesystem permissions, you can't do this through the Joomla! admin. You will have to browse to your template directory using an FTP Client, Windows Explorer or cPanel interface (depending on your setup) and change the permissions to read-write for your index.php and .css files.

The template files are located in:
<Joomla!-dir>/templates/<Your Template>/index.php
<Joomla!-dir>/templates/<Your Template>/css/*.css

Hope that helps.

I'm not familiar with GoDaddy hosting, do you have a cPanel interface? Someone else here have GoDaddy that can explain how to access the files?

If you have an ftp client: You could try ftp://ftp.yourdomain.tld/ and use your GoDaddy account username and password to login, I'm not positive if that will work though. There are several free ftp clients just search the Internet...

Let me know.

What you really need is the cPanel application. You should be able to get it from godaddy but I'm not sure because I don't use godaddy.

cPanel will let you upload, download, change file permissions, do backups, and a bunch of other things, and will make life easier for you in the long run.

See if godaddy offers cPanel or an equivalent.
