Hello! I wonder, how do you change the colour on the background boxes that marks words you've searched for in the search results page? For me, they are white all right, but that's not so good as my text is white.

Hi,

Edit your template.css file and add something like the following:

Code:
.highlight {
   background-color: #fffebb;
}

Does not seem to work, sadly enough. I am writing it in to the template.css, or is it a special row or so it shall be copied to?

It should be just in the template.css, is your site online so I can check?

I performed a search on your site for the word "finns", this is getting the yellow background, so it seems to be working. Or, did I missunderstand you and are you looking or something else?

Maybe it is that, but for me, it is rather white. Then, the code you posted above is not in the template.css since yesterday. But if it is yellow or so for you anyway, how do I then change it, to f.e black? #000000, I know, but I tried to switch hexadecimal code in the above posted code with .highlight and it did not seem to work. :S

If you change it to #000000 it ought to become black indeed.

But isn't there already a piece of text in some css-filethat shows the thing at all? So I could go in and change that instead of adding the extra ".highlight" ?

I see you are using the default milkyway template, so yes, the .highlight class is already in the template.cc, just change the color.

Well, it seems to work now.
What I did was copy the file from my computer directly to the FTP and then it worked. Using the open-source administration failed every time. But now, I forgot backing the rest up so everything else is erased on all possible fronts.
Anyway, thanks for the help. =)

Similar problem a couple of times before too...Adding !important worked in 2.5.6:

.highlight{background-color:#ffffff !important}
