Can not install French language pack on Joomla 1.5 RC4

Can not install French language pack on Joomla 1.5 RC4

I have a problem installing the French language pack on RC4. When I try to upload the file, the system seems to be busy doing so and then all of a sudden comes with a prompt to either open or save the index.php to disk.

Has anyone else experienced this? The pack I downloaded was intended for RC3, I hoped it would also work on RC4. Can anyone here confirm this?

Last available packs (site and admin) here:

Have to be uploaded via ftp in their relevant folders. Can't be installed per se.

Quite a few strings can create issues on latest SVN.

French site language including install xml file attached.
Note com_media is not included.
