Joomla website in russian

Guys,

I have to build up a 1.5 Joomla website in russian language. Did anybody did before? Are there any difficuilties? Is there need of any plugin etc?

You have to download and install the language packs (Russian1.5-Translation-Packs) for both Admin and Site from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=2334. This gives you the ability to administer the site in Russian and to see the Joomla!'s informational and error messages in Russian.

The site http://joomlaportal.ru/ could be of help. Also, be informed that there is a Russian Forum (http://forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=26) for you to ask questions in Russian should you want to go that way.

thanks imanickam BUT the admin panel needs to be in english cos I am the admin and I dont know russian

Only the articles should be in russian. Do I still need to install this language files?

If this is the case, you could just install the Site language file.
